Chris Brown disputes reports about private jet drama

R&B star Chris Brown has dismissed reports suggesting he and his crew were kicked off a private jet for allegedly smoking marijuana onboard.

The Kiss Kiss star hit headlines early on Wednesday (18May16) after he and his entourage were accused of causing trouble shortly after boarding a private plane at Miami International Airport in Florida on Monday (16May16).

According to TMZ.com, police were called after Brown and his pals ignored the pilot's complaints about the strong odour of weed coming from the cabin, and the group was subsequently ordered to leave the aircraft. No arrests were made.

However, the claims have come as a surprise to Brown, who insists the jet drama never happened.

The 27-year-old took to Instagram.com on Wednesday to post a video of himself questioning the report after landing in Cannes, France.

In the clip, the singer tells fans no drugs were brought onboard, hinting at a previous incident last summer (15), when he and a friend allegedly berated air stewardesses on another private plane after they asked the pair to stop smoking pot.

Questioning the report, he says, "I see someone on TMZ talking about we got escorted off a plane (sic)? Why the hell we in Cannes if we got escorted off a plane? One, marijuana smoke on a plane? I think we kinda learned our lesson, I don't think we really need drugs on the plane.

Brown then suggests the pilot made up the whole story after reportedly trying and failing to obtain illegal substances from his passengers.

"You probably should check with the pilot, 'cause he definitely kept asking my homies for an 8-ball, and we definitely don't sell drugs!" he added.

In the accompanying caption, Brown claims the pilot was probably disgruntled at having to "take direction or requests" from someone so young, while also acknowledging that he and his entourage may "look rather intimidating with the 'gold chains' 'watches' 'tattoos' (sic)".
