Chrissy Teigen: 'Pregnancy workouts helped post-baby slim down'
New mom Chrissy Teigen credits her slender post-baby figure to the exercise regime she continued throughout her pregnancy.
The model and her husband John Legend welcomed their first child, daughter Luna, last month (Apr16) and Chrissy has left fans stunned over how quickly she shed her pregnancy pounds, after showing off her flat stomach in various photos on social media in recent weeks.
The 30-year-old insists she hasn't been working out since becoming
a mom as she is still recovering from childbirth, but she is
convinced staying fit while expecting was the key to bouncing back
so quickly.
"I worked out more pregnant than I ever did not pregnant!" she
laughed to People Now. "So for me, to be able to come back after
wasn't a concern."
"I just wanted to feel good and feel energetic," she explained of
her decision to continue hitting the gym in the months before she
became a mother. "I'm still at that point (now) where I can't work
out, which is awesome!"
However, Chrissy insists everyone has their own way of dealing with
the extra pregnancy weight and women shouldn't feel pressured to
lose it immediately after birth.
"I think some people actually get really weirded out if you do
bounce back too quickly, because you really should be at home with
this little thing and taking care of her and not so concerned," she
said. "But you'll never have the right answer and you'll never be
right to everybody, so you just live and do what you can do
best."
Chrissy's comments come weeks after fellow new mom Kelly Clarkson
expressed her disbelief at how thin the model looked just three
weeks after Luna's birth.
After John shared a snap of his wife cooking a Mother's Day
(08May16) brunch, wearing a crop top and cut off denim shorts,
Kelly remarked, "Okay, what?! She just had a baby. My train of
thoughts.... #hateher #justkidding #kindofnotkidding".
