Billy Corgan planning eight-hour Siddhartha tea house gig
Written by . Published: February 19 2014
Smashing Pumpkins rocker Billy Corgan has announced plans to perform a marathon eight-hour free gig at his Chicago, Illinois tea shop.
The music for the Madame ZuZu's Teahouse show will be inspired by Hermann Hesse's novel Siddhartha, and will take place on 28 February (14).
Announcing the show on Facebook.com, Corgan says his performance
will be "centered around an ambient/musical interpretation of
Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha; built by modular synthesis, on the
fly."
He adds, "Readings of the text to go hand in hand with whatever is
created."
Corgan is currently working on the ninth Smashing Pumpkins studio
album.
