Angelina Jolie buys Brad Pitt vintage watch as wedding gift

Angelina Jolie has bought Brad Pitt a rare vintage watch as a wedding gift.

The Tomb Raider star purchased the 1952 Patek Philippe platinum chronometer for her new husband and had it inscribed at a jewellery shop in Malta, where they are shooting their new film By The Sea.

The inscription reads, "To Roly from Nessa" - the names of their characters in the film.

George Farrugia, the jeweller who engraved the watch, tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "I did inscribe the watch, it was for Brad and it was rare one. Oh yes, it was very valuable. I wasn't nervous about the inscription because I knew I could do the work perfectly."

The couple married in France in August (14) after nine years together.
