Alec Baldwin's daughter enters rehab facility
Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger's daughter Ireland has checked in to a California recovery facility to deal with "some emotional trauma".
The 19-year-old model entered Malibu's SOBA Recovery Center, a drug and alcohol treatment center, on Monday (13Apr15), with early reports suggesting she was seeking treatment for "excessive partying".
However, Baldwin took to Twitter.com to clarify the rumors, and
wrote, "'Intensive partying' haha Apparently I'm in rehab for
intensive partying soooo I'm just going to lay pretty low for a bit
and maybe get some frozen yogurt."
But she did confirm that she has begun a two-week stay at the rehab
center.
She wrote, "I checked myself into Soba for two weeks to just get
away for a little bit. I'm not much a party cat but I am here (to)
deal with... some emotional trauma and getting the intensive
therapy I needed in order to recover.
"Someday I’ll feel ready to share my story openly without feeling
the way I do. Right now I just needed a breather. I need a change
to work on myself and gather all the tools... I need to overcome
everything that I had been through and rid myself of all the pain I
locked away in unreachable places."
Ireland is the only daughter of former couple Baldwin and Basinger,
who split in 2002 after nearly 10 years of marriage.
