Young Hollywood

our guy Enrique in the studio with Enrique Iglesias. So we're going to talk about this album. Now, Red One is a friend. And we had him here the day he won songwriter of the year award. Oh, cool. And all he wanted to talk about was the new Enrique album. He's like, we have to talk about it.

Enrique Iglesias

Oh, he's a great guy. Red. I've known him already for three years. And he's been um, he's so talented as a songwriter, as a producer. And and I'm glad that we've actually, you know, beyond music, we're good friends.

Young Hollywood

That's what he said. He just really had a blast working with you, and it's so nice when, you know, when you have that chemistry.

Enrique Iglesias

Yeah, he's he's one of those one of those guys that the minute I met, we just got along. And it's cool because when you work in the studio, you're going to be with that person practically 24 hours a day.

Young Hollywood

Let's talk about your fans a little bit now. So, how are you staying connected? I mean, now there's all social media, and there are all these new ways. What's Enrique's way to do that? What's your

Enrique Iglesias

I have a cell phone. That's a good way to stay connected. Um um, I don't have internet in my house.

Young Hollywood

No Twitter, no Foursquare, no Facebook, you're not doing any of that kind of stuff.

Enrique Iglesias

What is that?

Young Hollywood

Social networking, to stay in touch with everybody. You create your own profile. You're being serious. You really

Enrique Iglesias

You have to get you on Facebook. No, that's not serious. I don't have any.

Young Hollywood

We're going to get you on Facebook. open a whole new world to you. Oh, wow. You create a profile and you stay in touch with all your fans, and they can send emails to you.

Enrique Iglesias

So, do I have that? I'm kidding. I didn't know I didn't know. I do I I'm actually, um, I'm not I'm not big into. You actually believe me. For a second. I don't know if I can even have any in my house. Um, I do have Facebook, and Twitter. I'm not so much into it, but I do it once in a while.

Young Hollywood

It's a great tool. Right.

Enrique Iglesias

It is. It can work both ways. It could also be a little bit of invasion of privacy at times.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, it's true. You definitely got to be careful.

Enrique Iglesias

Yeah, nowadays, anybody. You could be you could be anywhere, and it takes a picture and you put it up on Twitter.

Young Hollywood

So, Enrique, in the downtime, what your low-key, what are you liking to do, then? When you're not doing crazy press tours, and you're not in the studio recording, and you're not on tour. What's just a day in the life?

Enrique Iglesias

I just I like some pretty simple stuff. I like going to the movies. I like hanging out with my friends. Um, I like I love water skiing. I love going diving. Um, that's one of the main reasons why I've always stayed in Miami, and I love it because it's um, it's one of those cities where you can just get away by boat and just forget about everything. And just take a day off.

Young Hollywood

That's nice. That's cool. You're making you're going back to Spain much at all?

Enrique Iglesias

I do go to Spain. I was actually just in Spain. I go to Europe a lot. Not, I mean, depends how My mom still lives in Spain, and my sister still live in Spain. Um, and that's when I get I get to go see them probably about three, four times a year.

Young Hollywood

And, you know, you're going to be embarking on a big tour for the album. What are your essentials that you just have to have, you know, when you're on tour, you're in the tour bus?

Enrique Iglesias

Lot lot lots of Advil, water, um, and I say Advil, you know why? Because I'm getting old. So, whenever I go on tour, the first two weeks, man, I have no endurance. It's quite a workout. Um, and uh, it it reminds me that I got to get into get in shape. I'm bad when it comes down to to I don't put me on a treadmill. Um, if you put me in a soccer match, I probably couldn't last five minutes. Right. So, that's what happens to me when I go on tour. I need lots of water and lots of Advil.

Young Hollywood

It's true, water is the key. It just keeps you keeps you going. You don't need to drink all the other stuff. It just keeps you hydrated. Yeah. So, last thing, just anything that that really stood up with making this album. Every time you do it, it's a different process. But if there was one thing you could say when when you were going through the process of this that just, you know, made it different from all the others, what would it be?

Enrique Iglesias

It would be the collaborations. I feel, um, those collaborations, they they they make the album more eclectic. And at times, it took me out of my comfort zone, which is a good thing. It's it's obviously, it's it's a little more difficult when you're out of your comfort zone, and uh, it makes it tougher, but it pays off if it works. Uh, and the only way, uh, the only way you could truly, um, evolve is by sometimes being able to do that. Um, it's it's so easy to repeat yourself musically, but it's so difficult to to change it up at times.

Young Hollywood

Make sense. There you go. The one and only Enrique Iglesias.

Enrique Iglesias

Pronounce my name good. I said it right, see. I say, let me hear how you say it, though. What's the

Young Hollywood

Eh, Enrique Iglesias. You have an accent too, when you do.

Enrique Iglesias

Oh, if I said it in Spanish, Yeah. or in Spanish. I just said it. I that sounds stupid. Eh, Enrique Iglesias.
