Dog Days Stars Vanessa Hudgens & Nina Dobrev Play Never Have I Ever

What's going on guys? Hanging with me right now. I have the beautiful Nina Dobrev and Vanessa Hudgens. Hello. How are you? Good. Welcome back. It's been a while for both of you.

It's so fun to have you both at the same time too because I think this is a first for Young Hollywood.

Yeah. And the first time that that Vanessa and I have done interviews together over the last couple of days. It's been a lot more fun.

Well, congratulations on dog days first and foremost. Did you guys hear the the docs went to script and you're like sign me up like I'm definitely doing this film?

Yes, I literally read the title and said yes.

Really?

Yeah. I read the script. I read the title said yes and then read the script and I was like, oh, it's actually good. Okay, I'm glad I said yes to this.

Amazing cast, of course, with you guys Eva Longoria, Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things. I actually heard that you guys didn't really have a lot of scenes together is that right?

No, we didn't meet like eighty percent of the cast including you. When we got the the movie. We texted each other to to say that we couldn't wait to hang out on set and then we didn't once see like not not even for not even I didn't even spot her. There wasn't even like a spot of Vanessa Hudgens on set.

I got to see Finn. I got I got a little FaceTime with Finn.

Yeah. FaceTime really?

Well, not like on the phone, but like this is your face. This is my face. I had to meet you.

That's so fun. I know that you ladies both have your own dogs. Vanessa, you have Darla. You have Maverick. We talked about Maverick last time you were here. With knowing what you know about the film, would you guys ever take Darla and Maverick to like an animal psychic to see what they're thinking, feeling. Have you done that before?

Somebody gave me a a cat psychic for my birthday a couple of years ago.

Um How was that?

I mean, I don't know if it was how much of it. I don't now. I don't know honestly. It was It was strange. But the the issue is that a lot of the stuff that she told me is Googleable Googleable Googleable to Google. Yeah. So maybe she is psychic or maybe she just knows how to use a computer. I don't know.

Oh, interesting. Not sure. But you guys would be interested.

No, maybe not really. As you can tell from the film once you guys see it uh at home when my character goes to see the dog therapist. She is essentially going for her own personal therapy. It has nothing to do with the dog.

Oh really?

Yeah. I I feel like I've heard that like when we leave our animals we're like heartbroken. It's really like more about like us and how we feel about them. Like I'm sure they're sad but you know they can't they have no concept of time.

Yeah. The ten minutes that all is all disappears.

Yeah. And with you guys having spent a few years now with each of your dogs. Can you pin point like your favorite thing? Because they all have different personalities.

I love Darla's little underbite and her like expression. She always is like What are you doing mom? She's got like kind of like a sideways nose too. I just love how scrappy she is. It's my favorite.

My favorite thing about Maverick is probably her little pig belly. She has spots all on her belly that make her look like a pig and when I get her groomed I ask them to shave her belly as much as possible so that it exposes as much of the pig side of her and then when people ask what the breed is because she's a rescue and it's more fun to say this. I tell them that she's half pig and half skunk.

That's so cute. I love that. And I know you guys post about them on social media. So it's so fun that you guys are doing a film about dogs because we all watch you hang out with your pets. So it's super fun. So before you ladies go, we're going to play a quick game of never have I ever to get to know you a little bit better. One for each. This. Have you ever cried or flirted your way out of a speeding ticket?

Okay, which one cried flirted both. I mean, I didn't really cry or flirt but I the officer has been like, oh, my daughter loves her. I'm like, oh my gosh, what's her name? That's so sweet. How old is she? Really like that. Where are you from? Yeah. That's that's that stuff. It was my first speeding ticket actually. And I got out of it.

That's amazing.

I was leaving set. This was a couple of years ago. I was leaving set and I was rushing home because I was so tired and obviously speeding and when they pulled me over the police officer flashes light on me and for the first thing he said was, ma'am, are you okay? And I looked at him and was like, uh, uh what are you what uh I like No, if anything I I just started to stumble and didn't know what he was talking about and then he's like your neck and I and I touched my neck and went like this and realized that I'd been on Vampire Diaries and hadn't washed my makeup off and there was blood on my neck and then I turned on the waterworks and I was like, no, I need to go to the I was I'm speeding because I have to get to the hospital.

That's so good. That's so good.

Yes. I love it. Okay. Have you ever used your dog to get out of plans with humans?

Definitely, right?

I always too. All the time.

Yeah. It's a good excuse.

It is. I have a doggy door. I don't need to walk her but I just don't want to hang out with you guys.
