Young Hollywood, come on down to The Price Is Right. Young Hollywood is here at the CBS Studio in Hollywood. It's The Price Is Right. Come on down for a behind-the-scenes tour. We're hanging out with the model, Devin Goda, and Adam Sandler, director of The Price Is Right. Behind us is the audience. Obviously, no one's sitting in the seats right now, but how does someone get chosen to come up here and come on stage? You just pick someone who looks like super energetic and

We are very fortunate in that we have an audience, an incredible audience at home who love the show, come from far and wide, and all over the country. They plan their vacations around this. And we have about 300 people coming into the room every show, two shows a day. They all come in, they all line up outside, they all get interviewed by one of our producers, and we're just looking for people who are ready to have a good time. So come on down.

I think my favorite part is watching them get super excited when they get picked. Every time, it just gets me, right?

That's one of the things that's just so exciting, just seeing their reactions and stuff, you know, how excited they are.

What would you say is the biggest challenge that, you know, people watching back home might not realize about doing the model job?

Yeah, this this job is hard. I thought it was just, you know, just coming and you look nice, but no, you have to you have to know your angles, you have to know, you know,

You have to look natural doing it.

You have to look natural. That's that's the best, you know, that's the hardest thing is you have to look natural, but and you know, you have to know exactly where the cameras are and, you know, what you're doing. So it's it's uh intense. So, yeah, for sure.

Do your friends know about it or do you have to kind of keep it hush-hush until?

Yeah, I can't really tell anyone until my debut day, you know? So, uh

That's so hard.

It's hard. It's hard, you know? Cuz, you know, even with this day of social media and stuff, it's hard to keep it quiet, but Yeah. You know, it'll be that much more worth it whenever it does air, so.

That's so exciting. Well, I'm sure all the girls on set think like, oh my God, we get a really cute guy to work with every day. That's so exciting.

There she is. This is exactly what Drew Carey does every day. That's pretty cool. This is where he walks out. Every day. Yep. Every day for the past 47 seasons, the host has walked through this very door. And you just did it. It's important to know the people here so you don't accidentally walk through the door and say, oh, nope, not the bathroom. Sorry. Okay, everybody. That would be very, very embarrassing. So we call this home base. This is our turntable here. You see lots of our games on the turntable. Sometimes we turn around Devin and the other models on the show to present prizes up here on the turntable. Back here, you've got we've got game graphics here. Every every game you see that has uh numbers and prices and names. You see Toaster, $35. We keep all these cards back here. We've got hundreds, if not thousands of them. Over here, this is where our producers sit and watch the show. That's where the mighty sound effects lady sits right over there. It's a very hollow seat. I mean, she just has to really listen in and know when to press that right button at the right time.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, that's her job. That's what she does.

That's so fun.

That's why she's all mighty.

So fun. This is our chill area between uh sets and stuff, just chill, you know, own seat and everything. So, yeah.

Okay. I'm seeing makeup. I'm seeing candy.

Yeah, candy, makeup, whatever you need, you know, they they will give to you. So. Yeah.

We've got about 150 people working here every day, bringing the prizes in and out, setting up the shows. It's an incredible operation and it's the best place to work in TV. Everybody here is incredible. We're a big family. I think, you know, we've welcomed Devin in recently and you know, he'll tell you, you know, that there's it's a great group of people and it's a great family show, and we've got a great family behind the scenes and I think that comes through on the show.

How do you think the show's evolved since, you know, 1972?

That's the trick with the show. It's to make it feel like the good old The Price Is Right. So if you haven't watched in a while and you turn it on, you go, yeah, that's The Price Is Right. It's a show that continually evolves and just gets better and better every year.
