Bella Thorne & Patrick Schwarzenegger Reveal Biggest Romantic Gestures

What's going on guys? Hanging with me right now. I have Patrick Schwarzenegger and Bella Thorne from Midnight Sun. So, how are you guys doing?

We're doing great. How are you?

I'm so good. I'm glad you guys made it over today.

So, Midnight Sun. Let's talk about this. You guys are the stars of the film. And honestly, I feel like even just in the trailer, the chemistry is like so intense within those like two minutes or three minutes, whatever, yeah. That was literally one of the best things ever. Right? You guys are obviously super talented, but do you guys do anything specific to bond before filming?

Um, well, before filming, she actually met me for the chemistry read. Okay. Before. Um, so she came and practiced with me for like an hour before it. Um, so that really helped our chemistry read, but we just got along great on on uh on set and off set. We just hung out. We just ate a lot of food. We took a lot of really cool, beautiful bike rides around Vancouver and we just ate more food and then we would Jacuzzis occasionally and then eat more and I love it.

Vancouver's beautiful, so.

Yeah.

I've never been there but

Oh, it's so nice. The biking is so beautiful around the harbor and stuff. It's it's a great place. It's gorgeous.

Because you guys only could go out at night in the film. I want to know what are some of your guys' favorite nighttime activities?

We got to do one date on the movie, which is like a perfect date in real life because one of our friends in the movie works at an ice cream parlor.

Oh, fun.

And they open the ice cream parlor for us in the middle of the night and we get to go without anyone there and just eat. Is it? And go into every tub of ice cream that we want. Not have to worry about it and just have the scooper and just go in. So like, I mean, that would be like pretty much. Yeah.

You you lit up a little bit talking about the ice cream, for sure. Yeah.

Yeah.

How about you, Bella, like nighttime activities?

Like, I love going to the beach at night, night hikes, like stuff like that. We just either are in the studio most nights recording music. Um, that's a good nighttime activity. That's mostly what we do and if we're not recording, then we just like binge-watch movies and and shows and just chill on the couch, eat like food.

Oh, I know you do. We fed you a burger with onions, I think, in the morning the last time you're here.

Yes. Oh, that's awesome. Yes. Oh, you know, they actually brought in a burger for me with extra onions. Yes. This is like ice cream for me or something. I'm sorry.

Well, we didn't know beforehand. I should have. Like, or like. Next time. Okay. Next time, for sure. But speaking of, I know, I follow you on Instagram. I know you have like a ton of cats and I'm obsessed with cats. Like, how how fun is that?

It is lovely really having them. Animals, um, when I'm sad, they make me happy. Like, my uh my dog Tampon, like, Mod, my boyfriend will constantly point out to me when I'm really upset and Tampon comes and she cuddles me on the bed. And he's like, emotional support right there. Look at that. And it's like, I just like, I love animals. They have a very calming effect on me. I guess that's why we have so many. Me and my sister are very big cat fans.

Yeah, you seem like a good cat mom. So, this movie, there's so much romance going on. What is the most romantic thing that you guys have done for someone else?

I love like, um, I'm just a very big romantic person. So, if you've been gone and you're coming home, or you're going to a hotel, then like you'll have notes in your room from me at your hotel, or like flowers, or like sentimental stuff. I like to light up my house a lot. So, let's say someone comes home and I haven't seen them in like a week, then it's like all like romantic and candles and poems and very uh cheesy things.

So cute. I love that.

Just came back from, we were just on tour for like a week and a half and I came back. My girlfriend made me this big poster like that with like all these sparkles and welcome home and blah blah blah. I was like, "Shoot, I haven't done anything like this." I need to.

Yeah, I know. That's so. So, you got to do it. I'll help you.

I know.

We are so great with arts and crafts. You don't understand.

God, we don't understand. We build set decks for music videos and

All right, we can build me a something for me. I don't know.

It has to be you also doing it, Patrick. That's the point.

I'll screw some nails in. So you design it all and I'll uh just hammer the last one in there.

I love it. And lastly, before we go, I want to know what do you guys hope fans will take away from this film when they watch it?

Yeah, I mean, overall, we just want um people to go and have a great time at the theaters. Like, laugh, have a fun time. I really hope that like, you know, a main point of this story that we're trying to get out is that clearly these people in the story are like trapped inside their shells. And and of course, their arc is that they come out, but also mostly is that they start actually living their life. Like, you think you're living your life, but then you look back and you're like, "Man, I could have done more. I could have been more happy." You know, it's like all these moments that we really take for granted constantly myself included and that that is kind of what this movie is about is like live life like our characters do in the movie. To the fullest.

Yeah, for sure.
