We are here with the cast of Daniel isn't real. You guys just had the premiere last night. Tell me about it.
Uh, it was great. It was uh the midnight showing uh and then it was Daylight Savings time when we got out.
So you guys are extra tired this morning because you guys celebrated, you partied a little bit and we lost another hour.
Yep. Yeah, I I celebrated by uh going to bed. Yeah, so I feel I feel nice. I had an adult milkshake and then I went to bed.
What's an adult milkshake? I've never heard of that.
Something you can get at the it's at the Alamo where we premier you can like order stuff.
Okay. Tell us tell us a little bit about the movie for the audience that doesn't know.
Yeah, I mean Daniel isn't real is kind of a psychological thriller. Uh about Luke who's played by Miles. Um and his relationship with his imaginary imaginary friend who is played by me, Daniel.
So you're the bad guy, huh?
I'm the bad guy or the good guy bad guy you'll find out.
Okay. And Hannah, what about you? What's your character?
Uh, I play a character named Sophie who is sort of a love interest to Luke but really kind of a love interest to Daniel but she doesn't know that cuz Daniel is imaginary.
Did you guys grow up with like an imaginary friend? Um, Is that real, is that a real thing? Do people do that? Cuz I never had one.
I mean for sure that kids have. That's definitely a thing. I don't know if I have. I think everybody has like kind of another voice in their head at some I mean even even if it's someone that's egging you on to do something wrong or or to encourage you to keep going or whatever but I think kids or other people, you know, everyone has it to different extremes but
Do you guys make a name for it? You know, I got a guy called Craig, uh, who when I get when I get sad. He's loosely based on Craig Manning from Degrassi The Next Generation. Oh. And he is inside my head every time I get depressed. Okay. So that's my imaginary friend.
I don't have that but I like yours.
Yeah. You should take it. Just take it. He's a great song writer.
Toby Cinnamon?
Sure.
It's hard being a kid.
Is there has there been like a traumatic experience maybe or you guys had wanted to like to create an alter ego or imaginary friend to like escape?
Oh, I threw up at a Malcolm in the Middle audition when I was a child.
Stop.
I did. I vomited on camera.
We gotta get that tape.
I know someone has that tape and it's horrifying. I mean I had the flu and it was like in the valley in the summer, 120°. Vomited on camera and then I ran to the waiting room and vomited on some actress's shoes.
And you've been cinnamon ever since.
Yes.
What was one of your guys's favorite scenes to film?
Um, I bet when you broke up when you got to smash some of the uh art. That was kind of fun.
That was very fun. There's a there's a fun very cathartic uh scene where I got to in real life break things and that is really fun to do.
Is there a favorite scary movie that you guys have or like a psychological thriller that you guys just love?
The Shining.
The Shining. That's my favorite.
I mean, look at that. And I know it's not.
Shining is great.
Mandy that SpectreVision, our producers just made.
Oh, I'm dying to see Mandy. It looks so good.
Yeah.
Yeah. I love The Orphanage.
What about us? What about us? I haven't seen it. We were just talking about it a minute ago. We are in Austin, Texas. I know you've been before. Is there a favorite food these guys should be watching out for?
Breakfast tacos.
Breakfast tacos, right?
I've also been here.
Okay, so you've been.
I'm going to do that too. I had a barbecue yesterday.
Oh, what'd you get? Brisket?
Uh, yeah. Of course.
They're really famous for pecan pie.
Oh, I love pecan pie. I feel like that's a very like October, November.
It's like all season long. Really?
Oh, yeah, yeah. I like pecan pie. I'm legitimately nuts. Uh.
Kind of pie. Try the queso. It's great.
It's good. I like cheese.
Queso is great. Yeah. Good. I ordered queso at the movie last night.
I like Austin a lot. I mean, I I just got here yesterday but I
Last year you played with your band, right?
Yeah, and I got to visit the Daniel Johnston mural, which was really moving for me because he's one of my favorite songwriters. Um, but I don't know, yeah, like everything's supposed to be bigger in Texas and I haven't gotten taller yet. So I don't know what to
You don't I don't think you grow in Texas. I think it's just get bigger.
Okay, I misunderstood. That.
