Young Hollywood

Hey, what's up guys? Nicole Kotch in the Young Hollywood studio hanging out with Janelle Parrish. We're pretty little liars. How are you?

Janel Parrish

Always happy to be the place to be. Good, how are you?

Young Hollywood

Oh, really? Tell us more, tell us more.

Janel Parrish

Just love you guys so much. And I, I planned my outfit accordingly.

Young Hollywood

You really did. Yeah, just struttin' in the Young Hollywood today. Wow. Love it. So, the last time you were here, welcome back, by the way.

Janel Parrish

Thank you.

Young Hollywood

We tricked you.

Janel Parrish

Yes, you did.

Young Hollywood

So, you did really well. How does it feel to be fooled by a pretty little liar.

Janel Parrish

I knew this was coming with the questions. Wait, what? Wait, what? Wait, what?

Young Hollywood

How you've been fooled on Young Hollywood. I've lied. How did you

Janel Parrish

You did. I lied. What do you mean?

Young Hollywood

She knew all of them. I walked in today and I was like, no tricks today. You're not pranking me. Are you a little on edge today?

Janel Parrish

I am a little bit on edge. I don't trust any of you. Like, someone's going to try to prank me at any second, but I'm ready. I'm really ready.

Young Hollywood

Okay, we'll try to be nice to you. We'll see.

Janel Parrish

Okay, cool.

Young Hollywood

We can't promise anything though. I might be a little liar. Little trickster. Um, also, when you're here last, you said that you had 24 tattoos, so I'm dying to know, have you gotten any since you were last here?

Janel Parrish

Nothing new since the last time, but it's only been what? Like two months, you know? So, next time you have me in, check back. But no, I think I'm running out of space. So.

Young Hollywood

No. You look completely bare from where I can look at you. So, you have so much room. So much room.

Janel Parrish

Yeah. Well, we'll see if inspiration, you know, strikes.

Young Hollywood

Got it. Yeah. So season 7, for people that don't know, it's a five-year jump. It's super cool. And you recently introduced a new character, right? Who's the board. Can we talk about that?

Janel Parrish

The board game. As I call it, the games of hell. Yes. Liar's Lament. That thing is terrifying. It's actually kind of a genius idea to play with them in this way. Getting involved with the game and getting into the brain of the person who made it kind of messes with Mona a little bit and she might start to get a little seduced by the dark side. Will she end up on the good side or the bad side? Who knows? We'll have to wait and see.

Young Hollywood

What was your reaction when you found out that there was going to be a board game like that? That's playing, it's playing such a strong character for this season.

Janel Parrish

When I saw the game, I was like, oh, that's terrifying. It's just so creepy. Like the little people on the board and like just the little town and then there's like a graveyard and it says go to jail. You're like, what is this? Like Monopoly? A really demented person created it.

Young Hollywood

That game specifically is about finding answers, you know, like people's answers in like their life. So, I'm kind of curious, if you could find out an answer to anything in the world, what would it be?

Janel Parrish

You guys always make me speechless. Every time you come, you ask me a question and I'm like, I don't I don't know. Um, well, wait. Play some Jeopardy music when you do this to me. Yeah. I don't thank you. Any question in the world that I want to know the answer to?

Young Hollywood

Yeah. Am I going to be nice to you and move on? I feel there's tension between us right now. Maybe I should move forward. You want our friendship to continue, maybe we should move forward.

Janel Parrish

Oh, I love you so much. No, I can't. I honestly can't think of a good question though.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Maybe at the end of the interview, you can think of it. Okay. Okay. We'll move on to something easier. Where where do we see Mona in like 10 years, if you had to choose?

Janel Parrish

I'd kind of love her to be like the mayor of Rosewood. Then she can really control the entire town. I feel like that's a life goal for her, yeah.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. I mean, I'm in for that. Somebody make that show. I'm down. We're down for it over here. Love it. Let's do it. And then if you had to choose one life lesson from PLL, just working on the show, what did it teach you?

Janel Parrish

You should really be present in the moment and enjoy things because you know, it's like, you never know when it's going to be over. It just goes so fast, you know? Just appreciate everything that you have in every moment that is just special.

Young Hollywood

Aww. Yeah. So sweet. And then we're going to go out with a would you rather game. Would you rather play the board game or hear the voices of dead people?

Janel Parrish

Play the board game. Absolutely.

Young Hollywood

Oh, really? Oh, okay. I didn't know that was going to be so easy for you. All right. Um, would you rather play the board game or be abducted by aliens?

Janel Parrish

Play the board game.

Young Hollywood

Okay. Would you rather play the board game or eat insects for every meal?

Janel Parrish

Play the board game. Seriously? I love my meals. I have to have good meals or I'm just not happy. That game is here.

Young Hollywood

Really? Okay. Would you rather play the board game or have nightmares every night? Oh, I stumped her for once.

Janel Parrish

Have nightmares have nightmares every night because I'll wake up and it'll just be like, oh, never mind. Life's good. It's fine. It was just a nightmare. Right.

Young Hollywood

Would you rather play the board game or spend the night in a haunted graveyard?

Janel Parrish

Oh, oh, play the board game. No ghost stuff. Okay. I'm saying. I just realized my question. Oh my gosh. What is it? My question. Okay. My my one question that I could know the answer to. Are there ghosts? Yes. I just answered it for you. That was a good one, right? Was that a good one? Now I can move on because I've asked my question. Whether it's a good question or not, that's the question that I want because I'm terrified about ghosts. I have you never experienced anything? I've had weird experiences that are questionable, but it's like, are you there? Are you not there? Did I imagine that? So that's my question and I feel relaxed now that I answered it and that I don't have to go back to that. So now we can continue the game.

Young Hollywood

Well, that was actually my last question for the interview. So you really did. I did. Until the last part of the interview to answer that question. Janelle, you're amazing. We had so much fun with you here.
