You know who's all the Twitters?
Jack Quaid is back in the studio.
I'm here again.
You're here. Yeah. Good to see you.
Oh my God, thanks for having me back. It's weird. I did. I I hope not. Oh my God, I have to stop.
I got to say not many men can rock a sleeveless plaid shirt. That's something I You are one of the men who can.
It's it's a sleeveless plaid shirt with a vest on top of it.
We need computer wheels.
I know everything there is to know about computers. Okay. All the Twitters. I know them.
You know, you're like unrecognizable.
It's I kind of like that. It was really it's really cool. Like I would uh I would just send photos to my friends of me in my outfit and I had all this like fake gunk in my teeth. And see that tattoo right there, right above, right on the shoulder. Yes. It's It's That's dangerous. It's misspelled and that I actually that was actually my idea and they like made it a tattoo. Nice. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dangerous. Dangerous. Or Or dangerous, whatever you prefer.
Dangerous. Yes, it's European.
Very European.
That's yeah. That's what I was going for. Sophisticated.
Yes. Uh he likes to think that he's sophisticated.
Yes, I think so. He knows he knows all the Twitters. He knows all the Twitters.
Um if we were to check your Twitters right now, what would be on there?
Definitely not all of them. I don't think all of the Twitters. Okay. But uh I got a Twitter because I I think when I first started somebody was like impersonating me on Twitter.
Really?
Yeah. And I
What was the handle?
It was like it was just @JackQuaid. I'm @JackQuaid92. Whoever that person is still has my name. Wow. So, I I went on it just to be cuz they were saying some gushy stuff just like as me and it was not okay.
Like what kind of I'm so fast. I'm not important enough to have somebody impersonate me.
Well, it was like I didn't think I was either. I had just gotten like announced as like I was cast in the Hunger Games and then obviously like that book is so popular, so.
Never heard of it. No one's ever heard of it. It's very obscure.
All of a sudden I just found out about this guy who was like talking to people I was about to work with. Like he was talking to this actor Dia Wakanie who plays Thresh in the movie. He was like, "Oh man, I loved Fast and Furious 5." And like Dia was like, "Me too." And they had this whole like connection over it to the point where I met him and I was like, "Hey, you know that wasn't me on Twitter, right?" And he's like, "Oh man, I liked that guy. We talked about Fast 5."
If you could say anything to fake Jack Quaid right now, what would you say?
I would, I'm glad I defeated you. Besides like I I I I got a Twitter now. Yeah.
You're verified.
With social media. Yeah. Verified. I was just at like a party and somebody told me, "Hey, you're gonna be in the new Steven Soderbergh movie." And I was like, "You're wrong. You think I'm someone else. Goodbye." I was very rude. No, but.
You're like, "I'm sorry, I'm not Josh."
I'm sorry. I'm not Joshua Jackson. Everyone tells me I look like him and you're correct. And so the next day I called my manager and I'm like, "Hey, there's probably no validity to this, but I was told I might be in the new Soderbergh movie. I didn't even audition. Like what is this?" And he's like, "Okay, we'll check." Then 15 minutes later I got a text being like, "Yeah, yeah, they want you in it and here's the script." And this has never happened to me. Nothing close.
What a book.
To this has ever happened to me. It will never happen again. I just feel very very very lucky.
So what you're saying is Steven Soderbergh, not a true professional. He likes to just True pro. Just goes, "You. Come here kid. You're gonna be in pictures."
Well, it happened.
You're hilarious and.
Thanks.
You grew up in the business.
I did.
You did. But did you consider any other careers before being like, you know what? I'm gonna I'm gonna do the acting thing.
I always kind of wanted to do the acting thing. I was just like a big fan of, you know, movies and stuff like that. And then when I would see my parents do what they did, I was like, "Oh, that's proof you can be successful at it." You know what I mean? Like or or you can like make a living doing it. And they were having fun. So that was great. But I I think I considered briefly I considered being like a wildlife photographer. I don't know why. I grew up like watching a lot of like National Geographics. I was like, Really? Just go like, uh, I don't know, take photos of sharks. So, it was either That's probably the reason why I'm not uh dead from a shark attack right now. So I went I went to acting.
What made you pivot?
I just really liked I really liked acting. You know what I mean? It was the thing that like, oh, I really enjoy this. Like I do.
Well, we're so nice to have you back. Nice to have you back.
Thanks.
We're going to explode here. We're doing it. How are we doing again? Okay. There we go. There we go.
