United States of Al Star on Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, & Her Fave TikTok Accounts

Hi, my name is Fara McKenzie and I will be talking on Young Hollywood today.

Well, so United States of Al is dropping April 1st, right? April Fool's Day. Are you excited? Are you nervous? Have you seen any of it?

I'm super excited. I haven't seen anything yet. Um, only some, you know, teasers, trailers and some bloopers. Um, but yeah, I'm really excited for people to see what we've been working so hard on and yeah, it's just super exciting.

Do you like watching yourself or do you get like a little, oh, I don't want to see it, or how do you feel?

I um, I like watching myself, but sometimes I'm like, oh no, what if I look bad? What if I do something embarrassing? But, um, normally I'm just super excited to see, um, but sometimes a bit scared. Yeah.

Understandable. And your name is Hazel in the show. Do you like that name?

Yeah, I actually like that name. I've had um, the names in the past have been cool and, but this one I like a lot cause, um, I don't hear it too often, so Yeah. I really like it, yeah.

If you could change the name, what would it be?

Ooh. Um, I don't know, I don't think I would change it. Um, I feel like I, well, one of the characters is already named Lizzy. Yeah. Um, but I do like the name Lizzy. One of my cousins is named Lizzy and I like the name.

Okay, so we're gonna play current events with you. So I'm going to read off some things, you know, that are happening in the world and not bad things, but happening in the world and then you'll just kinda state your opinion on what you think about it, okay?

Sure.

Okay. So obviously TikTok, that's always a current event, because TikTok is TikTok. How often do you find yourself using the app? Do you use it a lot?

Man, um, yeah, it's it's getting, um, I use it quite a lot. I try to just like take a break, but sometimes it just pulls me back in. Yeah. I just end up scrolling for hours and it's really bad, but.

Who's your favorite Sway Boy? Or favorite TikToker?

Ooh, I'm not really on like that side.

Really? You're not on that side of TikTok. Like the big TikTokers TikTok.

I'm not on like the Hype House side or, um, Addison Rae or Charlie. I'm not really on that side, but, um, yeah, and then my friends are like, oh, have you heard the new drama with, with so and so? And I'm like, No. No. I'm like, who's that? Um, yeah, I'm kinda out of it in that side of TikTok.

Who's your favorite TikToker then, just in general? Do you have one, or you just like everybody?

Oh, there are these two, um, redheaded brothers, and they make, they, they make super funny content. Um, their names are like Kyle and Tucker. I don't know, um, their, their names, but, um, their user names, but those are my probably my favorite, cause they make me laugh a lot. Yeah. Like comedy TikTok. Yeah. Yeah.

And have you ever bought anything because of TikTok?

I did see the, um, the like vines and LED lights, so I have those in my room. Yeah.

Of course. The LED lights, we got to love them. We love the LED lights. Okay, and Justin Bieber's new album. Do you like Justin Bieber?

I was very obsessed with Justin Bieber when I was seven or eight. Um, uh, yeah, I used to listen to him religiously. But, um, I haven't I actually haven't been up to date with his music. Um, but I should probably, you know, see what's what's into it.

And then somehow let us know, DM us or something and tell us what what your favorite song is from the new album.

Okay, I will do that.

And then, of course, the past years besides the United States of Al, you've been in a lot of different big shows and films. What would you say like currently looking back has been maybe your favorite that you've been in?

I loved working on Utopia and, uh, The Code of Many Colors, um, movies. The I loved The Code of Many Colors because, um, so many great people and a lot of kids in it, so I still am friends with all of them to this day. Um, but and Utopia because it was something that I'd never done before, like dramatic and thrilling and, um, I made a lot of good bonds and connections. So those two, they have to be my favorites.

What would you say if you could star in any role, what would your dream role be and you'd have to have one co-star. So a co-star that you'd just be over the moon about.

I've said this in like so many interviews before, but I'm gonna stick with it because, um, it's just something that I really want to do. Horror movie, okay? I really want to do a horror movie. And, uh, co-star, like preferably, um, in a horror movie where I was like the one who's fighting against the, you know, whatever.

Monster, yeah, yeah.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um, co-star, there are so many people that I look up to, um, acting wise. Yeah. Um, if it was like a kid, I would probably have to say McKenna Grace, because, um, I've seen a lot of lots of her movies and she's so talented and I would really love to work with her.

Maybe you'll be in horror one day. You're on your way. You got comedy knocked off the list.

Yeah.

And then what's one thing that you hope that happens in 2021? Like literally could be anything, personal life, work life, something you want to happen.

For the sake of the world, I would love for the virus to calm down and everything can go back to normal so we can have like a very fun summer. And I'm But as we know, we have to do our part to make that happen. Um, and stay safe and stay inside. But for myself, and this is probably not going to happen, but being being the One Direction fan that I am, maybe maybe a reunite thing would be great.

Did you like Harry Styles at the Grammys?

Oh, yeah. I'm, I'm very inspired.

I was gonna ask you, where do you get your style inspiration from?

Um, recently, very Harry Styles, I would have to say, yeah.
