Young Hollywood

Welcome to YoungHollywood. com. Hey guys, it's Michelle Marie coming to you from Carrie Feinstein's Lounge, celebrating the Emmys with the one and only Seth Green, who is an Emmy winner. Congratulations.

Seth Green

Thank you very much.

Young Hollywood

Your first Emmy ever, and you've had a huge career. How do you feel about it?

Seth Green

Um, it was really exciting. Like we're thrilled to win. We like the organization. We love our show. Um, so getting this kind of accolade is just really super sweet.

Young Hollywood

Well, you've been in the game for so long. I'm sure you've always dreamed of having one of those things.

Seth Green

Well, you know, what's funny is I actually uh, held another actor's, like 15 years ago. And I was like, oh, maybe I'll get one of these one day. So it was really cool just to not never think about it again. Yeah, right. And then actually get it.

Young Hollywood

So, did you prepare your speech or did you wing it when you were up there?

Seth Green

I mean, I was certain we weren't going to win. Um, I'm always kind of certain that we're not going to win. So I never really think about what I'll say. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

So what are you going to do to relax? I mean, now you're like, you're like, Mr. Emmy winner now.

Seth Green

Yeah, it's actually, I have a wedding out of town this weekend, so I'm gonna go to that. Nice. Um, but it's for one of the writers of our show who got an Emmy as well, so we can both like, Emmy fight. Oh, Emmy fight. They're really heavy and really sharp. Like no joke, my partner cut his face on the wing. Yeah, no, he really genuinely. If you look at all the press photos, uh, Matt is bleeding because he stabbed himself in the face with the Emmy.

Young Hollywood

Wow. You and Seth MacFarlane have a budding relationship. How'd you guys, how'd you guys.

Seth Green

Oh, we've been, uh, I've known, I've known Seth since uh, Family Guy started, which was in 1998. Um, so our relationship is in full bloom. Right. Yeah. I like that. Hopefully our offspring will be budding.

Young Hollywood

And you also play yourself on Entourage, which I really like. It is crazy. I'm like, wait, is he an asshole in real life? Or obviously not.

Seth Green

Let's go with that. Yeah. No, no. I like, I like that. Well, that was kind of the funny thing. I did that show and I thought I'd garnered such an, a nice guy reputation, that I could play an asshole and have people think it was ironic. Um, but everybody really believes that that show is the truth. I know. In all aspects of Hollywood, so. I just go with it.

Young Hollywood

So you and Kate.

Seth Green

It makes me far less approachable in public, which is funny. People are like, oh, I don't know what to say. I shouldn't say he's such a dick. And I'm just like, yeah. What up, man.

Young Hollywood

But you and Kate, you and Casey are good friends though, right? Kevin Connelly?

Seth Green

Yeah. Uh, Kevin and I have known each other since we're seven.

Young Hollywood

Oh my god.

Seth Green

Yeah, talking about commercials on the internet, uh, Kevin and I did a Matchbox car watch commercial.

Young Hollywood

No way.

Seth Green

when we were kids, yeah. It's insane.

Young Hollywood

Well, speaking of commercials on the internet, I have to say something. Our CEO, R. J. Williams, did a commercial with you back in the '80s, the Nerds commercial. I'm going to pull out this damn Samsung Galaxy right now and show it to you. When's the last time you saw it?

Seth Green

Uh, the commercial, it was just a few days ago. We were uh, in Orlando for the Star Wars Celebration and they ran it as part of our intro package. No, see, I vaguely remember this. Uh, the funniest thing about it, if you really watch the commercial, you can understand why the client became uh, gun-shy for pardon the pun. Uh, it's kids in a public mall attacking strangers with their product. Okay. So they were like, hey, let's avoid a lawsuit by having, by not having a commercial with kids firing a weapon at girls and mimes and shop owners in public places.

Young Hollywood

Oh my god.

Seth Green

Yeah. So they actually reshot the commercial with uh, R. J. just in a backyard with a camera.

Young Hollywood

Oh my god. Last thing. If you were to say anything to your fans, what would you love to say to them?

Seth Green

Thanks. What's up, blogosphere, internet, and general public? This is Seth Green, and you are watching YoungHollywood.
