Samaritan's Javon "Wanna" Walton & Dascha Polanco on Working with Sylvester Stallone

Okay, so, Javon, you want to be a world-class boxer. So what was it like when you found out that you were going to get a role again with Sylvester Stallone? And Dasha, you wrote on Instagram that it was a bucket list item to have this role. So how did each of you feel when you found out you booked the part?

I was super happy when I booked the part. It's crazy cuz it all started with me auditioning. Um, the decision wasn't made yet. So I went out to LA and I got to meet Sly and um, you know, he wanted to make sure if he liked me or not. Um, I went to his house. He ended up liking me, thank God, you know, and knowing that I was going to be able to work with Sly is just amazing. We talked boxing pretty much every single day on set. We were saying who's going to win this fight, who's going to win that fight, and he had so much like boxing memorabilia and stuff like that. He's really just a boxing historian, so it was amazing being able to work with him and share that with him and it's it's definitely something special.

Okay, and for I, you know, I I keep on saying this, but watching his films and then being able to be across him on set is something that I didn't prepare for. Um, and being part of an action film, which is something that I've always wanted to do is something also that I had as on my vision board. So I'm I I'm very grateful for the opportunity and and I must say that the experience was amazing, like to work with Juana, to work in the presence of Sly and to and Pilou, I mean, these are talented actors. Most importantly, that allowed me to do my job as best as I could. So I I mean, I'm thankful for it. It was definitely something that I I'm ready for part two if it's if it's if it's if it's of any interest. I'm definitely ready for it. Anybody, Amazon, anybody, if you want to do part two.

Well, it looked unreal, and I'm sure you've gotten this but if you could have one superpower, what would it be and would you hide it from the world or would you want the world to know?

Um, I know my superpower. I'd hide it, cuz like government and stuff wouldn't be happy with that. So like, I don't know. I I'd want to have like um, laser eyes though. That would be sick.

I would want to control time. That's Um, and I wouldn't let everybody know.

You wouldn't let anybody know?

No, I wouldn't let nobody know. Yeah. I don't let people know what's up now. I'm not going to let people know if I control time. No. No. No one needs to know.

That's a good one. That's a good one. You should make that one. And when you punched Sylvester in the stomach, was that how was that? Did you actually get to punch him or

That was fun. Yeah, I I got I got to actually punch him, which was which was kind of cool. It was it was like of course like I pulled back and all that but it was cool to be able to punch him. I mean that man still got abs, bro. And God, I was impressed, man. It's crazy that he was doing pretty much all his own stunts at that age like it was really really impressive and just kudos to him what he's doing at his age, man, like much love to him.
