Perfect Addiction's Matthew Noszka on Getting To Film In Ancestral Poland

And beside Perfect Addiction, you obviously, you have this beautiful baby.

Yeah, she's my life, man.

But how was that being in Poland and not She didn't come visit you.

She did. She did visit me. The first two weeks I was there, um, like most of the fighting I did without them there and then my family came. Um but it was nice because I got to like I'm from Poland, I guess technically. I don't speak Polish. Uh but I have a ton of ancestry from there. I have a a guy who's just a random fan of mine who did a full ancestry report on where I'm from. Uh he I think it's Hollywood Ancestry. But he he basically gave me like a PDF of everything like where they worked, what they did, addresses. And the whole thing with Ukraine um was kind of scary for all of us. So we, you know, didn't really venture too far out. Uh but where I was originally from and a lot of my family members grew up and lived was maybe like 30 minutes from the border. And I was thinking about going, but production was pretty strict with all that. So um but it was cool just kind of be in the essence of, you know, Poland and see Robert who's basically what I kind of would have been, I guess if I grew up there. So it was it was really nice to go there and then have my family come and have my daughter see everything and be in Poland. It was it was a cool experience.

Is she like do you just love her so much?

She's the best thing that ever happened to me. She's changed my life forever. I mean, getting hit by a car definitely altered some things. But she was like my saving grace. I think I was I was young and reckless for sure. Um and I kind of just, you know, I felt like I had a good head on my shoulders, but you get lost in the mix of things for sure when you get into this Hollywood lifestyle. And she just saved me, man. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me. She is my spitting image though, which is kind of scary. She is insane. Yeah, she's definitely

You have like a little girl clone.

I have a photo of me. Um my my grandma and my aunt sent me the other day uh on Easter. It's her. Yeah, it was so scary like her teeth, her smile, everything. Um but I think she has a a good mix of both of us. Yeah. You know, she's definitely has my wild side for sure.

We love that though.

She's super OCD like her mom. Um and it it really is a great mix. So

But you did the little affirmations thing video with her. She's and now she asked That's just cool.

She's great. She asks every day. She asked every day. Can we do my affirmations, daddy? I'm like, absolutely. And now she's kind of tired of the ones. So I have to like Yeah, I'm like in the dictionary like, okay, what are more affirmations? Cuz like I'm running out. We've run out of all. Yeah, no, she's great and she says them with such intention. Like she's really strong with her words and I love it.

What is she like? Like what does she love to do?

So she has a full closet. Of course. She doesn't wear clothes. Okay. And that she wears dresses, princess dresses. Oh. All day, every day. It's cool.

Is she in school?

No, she's not in school yet. She goes to like there's we do like homeschooling and different things. She goes to different uh she goes to dance class, she goes to gymnastics, she goes to music. She's a nap for you. She's got a full schedule. Um

Busy than dad.

Yeah, she actually is. I'm like, wait, maybe my schedule needs to be a little bit more full. Um she has a closet. Like it's an What are those? It's just like a coat hanger basically, but she has 15 different dresses. And she's obsessed with princesses right now. So like every morning she'll get up and be like, "Daddy, I want to wear Snow White dress." I'm like, okay. She has she has a shoe thing of all her things. She has jewelry, she has the gloves, a wand. And she just wears it around the house all day. When I left, I was cuddling with her. We were watching Tangled and cuddling on the couch and she was in her Cinderella dress. Or no, I'm sorry. Was it she in her Tangled dress? She was Elsa. She was in an Elsa. Oh, Elsa. She's frozen. She was I was like, we're watching Tangled, you're in her. She has a she has a a Rapunzel dress.

Did you think you'd have like this girly girl, like literally this

The thing is that's her only girly girl thing. She's super fun when we go to gymnastics and she's very like outgoing. She's really tough. So where like I'm like, whoa, we got to dial back. Cuz she's mommy training for this MMA role. And she watched that constantly and her mom does a ton of gymnastics and karate and stuff too. So she's seeing um sort of it's not aggression, but it's just like

Tough parents.

Tough parents. Yeah. And she's very tough and she's fun and she likes get playing in the dirt and getting dirty. But like all day she's in a princess dress. So that's her girly And I'm like, you know what? It's cool. I'm cool with it cuz it's kind of make-believe, which I think is very like important for kids.

I wonder if she's going to want to wear it to school once she goes to like real school.
