On the Road with American Idols

Welcome to YoungHollywood. com. I'm Oliver Trevena here at the Staples Center, the American Idol tour with the man himself, Adam Lambert. So you're on the tour, enjoying it?

It's incredible. When we get out on stage, there's, you know, 20,000 some odd people screaming, holding up posters. It's an overwhelming feeling. We get out there and it charges you, it gets you like, gets you going.

What's uh, what's next in store for you?

As soon as the tour is over, I start, I I finish recording on the album and I start promoting it. So, it's one thing right into another. It's going to be great.

What's in store for you?

We're finishing the tour. Obviously, and we're we're trying to finish the album right now as well.

What else is going on in your world?

I don't know if anything I can tell you. A lot of crazy stuff that we keep on the DL, you know? Yeah.

Slie, Chris Allen. Excited?

I'm very excited. This is a big one. It's a big one.

Where's been your favorite so far?

Uh, we played Utah two days ago and that's my hometown. I I guess I could say I'm on top of the world.

On top of the world, that's a pretty big statement.

Yeah, it's a big deal. But who else gets to do this for for fun and a living at the same time?

What's next on the road for you?

Um, as soon as the tour is done, I'm going to take a month off. I've already started planning some vacation time.

Where you going?

With family. Uh, we'll see. It's going to be a deserted island probably somewhere where not I can get away, but beaches for sure.

Are you excited?

I am very excited. This is uh, you know, the Staples, it's LA. We're all pumped for it. A little bit nervous, but I'm ready to go.

Now, what's in store for you after the tour?

Uh, after tour, I just got hired on as a new host, kind of like what you're doing, uh, for Make The Cut.

Because I care. Are you enjoying the tour?

I am definitely enjoying the tour. It's so much fun. Rollercoaster, this whole Idol, American Idol thing.

Did you ever imagine it?

No. I mean, I never thought I'd be here. I never thought I'd make it past Hollywood Week in the first place, so it's kind of crazy.

Excellent.

What what are you laughing at? What's so funny?

Love it.

Why what's the complaint?

Punch me.

Okay. Um, awkward moment. Yeah. That was weird. Violence. Any goals to uh delve into the movie business, acting world?

You better believe it. Yeah. To do some acting.

Are you enjoying the tour?

Absolutely. It has been just the most amazing experience so far. It's better than I ever dreamed it would be.

Well, what's in store for you after the tour?

Um, I'm planning on more tours, more music. Been talking to a few different music publishers about, you know, representing me as far as writing for other artists, other bands. So the songwriting is definitely going to be a big part of what I do after this.

Excited about tonight's show?

Yeah, I mean this is uh, it's a huge show for all of us. So, I don't know. You know, just Just gotta get out there and do what we know how to do.

Where's been your favorite show so far?

I think I liked Portland a lot, just because it was our first show. And uh, you know, it was our first taste of sort of how it's gonna be. Great crowd, great venue. So I I loved Portland.
