No Sleep 'Til Christmas Couple Reveal Favorite Scenes To Film

Yeah, yeah, you guys start with the old man. This looks like such a fun movie to watch, and I always wonder when I watch movies with real-life couples, is it easier to act together as a couple, or is it is it more pressure because you want to perform well in front of each other?

Well, I think the story really lended itself to it being easier for us because her character is annoyed with mine for about 90% of the movie. So that's where I was kind of like Yeah, we read it and we're like, oh, this is gonna be so us. Like they wrote this. They are watching our marriage. This is amazing. They are more like, are there cameras in our house? But the 10% is adorable. Don't forget that 10%. No, we're we still got it. All they wanted for Christmas. What if I paid you? You're asking me to sleep with you because you're getting married? You're like a gigolo but without the sex. Was a good night's sleep. I feel sorry for your fiance. She will never need to know. Wow. Careful what you wish for. Yes. Sorry. We're just sleeping together. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. Do you have two twins? Sorry, he snores. I don't snore. My What was your favorite scene to shoot? Uh, my my favorite and my least favorite, I'll say, was the karaoke scene. Because I went in super confident. I was like, we had an acting I mean, a singing coach come in because we're both notoriously terrible singers. But the coach guided me wrong. She was like, girl, you can sing. And I was like, oh my gosh. Well, she lied to me.

I'll be honest. I did. I did. So you weren't insane.

Yeah, I think it was more of an accident. Like, but when we got on set, you know, your true colors the truth.

But the problem was, I was already so high on life that I thought that I could sing. And we've had since our I went for it. I was like, oh, and I made it and I was like looking into his eyes. I was like, this is Emmy performance worthy. Like, this is gonna be awesome. And like, you know, there there's a shot where my eyes are getting misty, and like that could work for the for the movie like, oh, he's in love with her or it's like, you know, just her working. I my breath. My ears are ringing. No, that's now. Um, no, but we've always had like a competition of like who's worse at singing. Yeah, it might be me. Turns out it might be me. Thank God. Has answered that question. It's a sad day. I got to be honest, Phil, our director, he really screwed me because that note that I had to hit was close to impossible. It's like Beyonce could do it and nobody else. First song. Okay. First song. Let's uh I don't know. I thought I nailed it. I definitely did not, but it was a lot of fun to shoot.

Yeah. Well, this might be the same answer then. I was gonna ask what was the most challenging scene for you guys to shoot?

The karaoke scene. No, for you it's like that where we fell in love. That really.

What do you, what do you mean? Trying to get there. It's just trying to really like. Oh, to pretend like Get that chemistry there, you know. Yeah. God, help me.

Well, the easiest definitely were the scenes that we just could The banter scenes. We got to throw in some real zingers that, you know, she had quite a few where I was like, that felt way too real. Like that. Yeah. Like, don't cut me while we're on film, okay?

So it's a movie about insomniacs. Can you relate to that at all or do you sleep pretty well at night? Do you have a tempur-pedic?

We do have a tempur-pedic.

Actually, yeah. And it's wonderful.

You've been over her house? That's That's

No, I think well, I've I've never had a problem. I've I've always, you know, he hits the pillow and he's out. But he'll wake up at 5:00 in the morning every single day. Oh. I used to love my sleep. Um, but we have a three-year-old. She sleeps through the night now, but it's not, you know, you don't you don't sleep like you used to be able to sleep. So I can relate in in in a little bit. There's no like staying in bed days. That's what it is. No, and I loved to stay in bed, but those days are gone.

When you're shooting a movie like this and you're playing insomniacs, does it help to just go out all night the night before and then come in and think you look great this role.

You'd think. I think probably for years, how old's our kid? Three. Four years ago, we would have taken that approach. This year now we're just sucks to be hungover or to work with a hangover. Like you just can't do it. So they I mean, they didn't need to add much makeup. I mean, we were already tired. So they just added a little, you know, dark here and there.

Yeah, they made you look tired. Yeah. Okay. Last question. With any Christmas movie, there's always a heartwarming message at the end of every Christmas movie. What message do you guys want the audience to take away?

Charles, Michael David, you know, his character is so lovable and so likable, but it just wasn't the right match for Lizzie. So I think that it's really important to know who you are and to not, you know, stay in something just because it seems perfect. The the hard choice is to choose someone who challenges you and is ultimately going to make you a better person. And I think that's these two characters. And and us in real life. You challenge each other? Oh my God. Yeah, challenge. Like what what's more of a challenge? He's like, get me out. What's the most challenging uh word? No, it's going great. Yeah. Yeah. It's amazing.
