Hey what's up guys? Young Hollywood is here at the LA Food Bowl and we are talking all things food with Zooey Deschanel.
What's your all-time favorite dish? Like last meal on Earth. You got to pick. Like, I mean, Like your own death row and you can only pick one.
Oh, this is She would never be on death row. Really dark.
Oh my gosh. Like a pasta with lentil sauce.
Oh. Yeah. That's really good. Yeah. So you're a carb lover.
I do like carbs. I mean, I don't eat them as much as I want, but I do love I love carbs.
So why did you want to attend this event today? Are you particularly passionate about this organization?
My husband and I started a company called The Farm Project. Our mission is basically to make fresh, sustainable, local food as easy, accessible, and affordable as processed and packaged alternatives. So this is very aligned with that. I'm mostly vegetarian, so.
Okay. Is that tough? My sister is vegetarian. I'm like, is that tough?
No. It's actually not.
Okay. Yeah. It's actually better for you, isn't it? I notice everyone that's vegetarian looks great.
Yeah. If you think well, if you think about it, like you like the one thing no one can really argue with is that if your plate is full of vegetables, you're eating well.
New Girl, last season. Yeah. Can't believe it. How do you feel about that?
It was a big accomplishment. We did seven seasons and I'm excited to have like a new chapter, but I I it was a it was a really great run, so.
You're like a triple threat. You sing, you do movies, you do TV. Which is your favorite?
I like all of it, just sort of depends on my mood.
Yeah. I know that you're doing um Beauty and the Beast Live at the Hollywood Bowl. That is so cool. You're going to do Are you doing Belle?
Yeah.
You kind of look like Belle.
Thank you. Thanks.
I noticed that like you Instagrammed a pick and you're like, I'm going to do Belle and it was like the cartoon on the Disney version. I was like, she kind of looks like Belle. Thanks. So what's that going to be like? Is it nerve-wracking that it's live at the Hollywood Bowl?
I've actually played the Hollywood Bowl twice before. Um, yeah. So, and it's not a full You know what it's I'm only I'm doing I think like three songs.
I heard you said on Jimmy Kimmel that your daughter like didn't like your singing or didn't think you should like didn't see you as a singer or something like that.
No, no. She's only two. So she just will be like, now mommy, no singing. But she does that cuz she wants to sing. Yeah. So it's kind of like a competitive thing.
But do you have kids?
No, not yet. Okay. When yeah, when they're like two and a half, they just do they like to order everyone around. It doesn't really have to do with She wasn't like you're a bad singer. She's like just not
No. No, she just some days she'll be like, "Mommy, sing Belle. Mommy, sing Belle." And then other days she'll be like, "No, mommy, no. No." And then I'll say, "Why not?" And she'll say, "I want Elsie wants to sing." So it's really kind of a competitive.
I loved when you sang in Elf. Like your voice is so beautiful.
Oh, thank you. Thank you.
You should play that for your daughter and then say you like that?
Well, you know, she no matter what I do, she's she's she's going to like have her own version of reality. It's like a two-year-old's version.
Yeah, definitely. Well, I hope you have fun tonight. It was great talking to you.
