Welcome to younghollywood. com. Hey guys, it's Michelle Marie coming to you from Kerry's Fine Scenes Lounge with Nelson Ellis, who plays Lafayette on True Blood, the hottest show on cable right now. How are you feeling about your success so far? It's uh, it's unexpected. Isn't it?

Yeah, it's it's a big, big show and it's having a big, big response in the world and. And uh I have no more anonymity. I want to hear what they have to say. I I feel like like everything that I need to learn is just one drop away. Little boy, you can't control the destination.

Hey, you guys have a great cast and it seems like everybody has a lot of chemistry, the dynamic is amazing. And your character Lafayette is in a little trouble right now. I mean, like he always seems to be getting getting himself into trouble. So, what can we expect with him in the next couple of episodes?

We're going to find out something pretty big about Lafayette. Something pretty big. Okay. And we're going to find out something pretty dark about uh his love interest. Oh, come on, man. Will you take me back? No. Let's do it again. Just like a virgin. Oh, come on, man. Will you take me back?

We like dark and we like sexy and that's all that True Blood is. What do you think it is about the show that makes it a number one hit on cable?

Because it's wildly unpredictable. At every turn, no one can predict what's going to happen because we're so off the charts in terms of story. The writers are so inventive that it keeps the audience on its toes. It even keeps the people who are fanatic book readers who Charlaine Harris's whole following. Alan Ball has managed to also keep our storyline a mystery even to them. So I think because it's so unpredictable people love it.

Now, if you were to see yourself on another show, maybe in the next like five, six years, do you see yourself playing something similar to what you do or would you like to explore something totally opposite?

I'm a character actor. So I like playing big, big characters. Um so another big, big character. Yeah, comedy or drama or whatever.

Modern Family, Glee. There's all these really cool shows that are on television right now. So maybe, you know, I mean, you guys are your own thing, but maybe we can see you kind of cross over into that world.

Maybe I can be into some like Glee. Get up and sing and dance.

Are you a singer?

In the shower.

Is this a stylist thing or do you put this on yourself this morning?

This is um this is not my stylist. No.

Is it?

No, and it's not my, it's not I didn't put this together.

You didn't. Someone else did it, right?

Someone else did it.

So if you were to put together an outfit, you yourself, no one else, what would you wear on a day-to-day basis?

I would wear a bow tie. Well, I I put the bow tie, but on a day-to-day basis, I wear T-shirts and boots and jeans and call it a day. And I'm here at the Style Lounge having fun and I just want to say to all the fans, thanks for supporting True Blood. I'm Lafayette on the show and peace out.
