Welcome to Young Hollywood. com.
Hey, Young Hollywood, we're here with Rebecca Romijn.
Now, Eastwick, I'm so excited about this.
We've interviewed a lot of men.
Now, we have the beautiful, sexy women.
You've been so successful.
What are you excited about for with this role?
You know, she's probably the character that's closest to me in real life I've ever played.
She's bohemian, earthy, artist who lives just outside of town.
She's so much like so many of the mothers of all the kids I grew up with in Northern California.
Wow, Mr. Van Horn, I have to say you are vain, charmless, creepy, pretentious, arrogant.
Your hair is from 1982.
You're not nearly as handsome as you think you are.
When you first read this script, what was it that you felt so attached to that you knew you had to be a part of?
I knew exactly who this character was by the second page.
That's the great thing about doing television and serialized television, that you start living these characters and getting more and more comfortable in them and really fleshing them out.
And I feel like I already know who she is, but like the places we're going to take these characters, it's just going to be so much fun.
I like you today.
Very very festive.
I like the the flowered shirt.
So give us a little quick synopsis on um your character and what you do to play the role in the show.
My character's name is Daryl Van Horn.
I come from we do not know where.
I might be, we're not sure how old.
I have powers that are potentially bottomless and fathomless.
And I arrive in this New England town and I immediately start to insinuate myself in the lives of these three beautiful, beautiful women.
Ladies, Welcome to my uh my restaurant.
Dinner's on me tonight.
That is if I can join you.
I stir up a whole lot of sex and trouble.
You wanted someone that gets you.
Someone dark and mysterious moves to town in a cloud of scandal to stir up sex and trouble.
Well, here I am.
Ooh.
We're tuning in.
Your character sounds like she's got a lot going on with children.
You're sounding very fertile.
Trying to get back to who you are.
What do you love about this character that you're playing?
I love that she's so kind and so generous and so selfless.
You have the hands of a healer, a mother.
Like nature herself.
Nurturing and destructive.
She's just a woman who you know, is a little disconnected from, you know, what she wants for herself.
I'm not asking you for much, Raymond.
I never do.
I just want you to pitch in a little bit.
In the pilot episode, you know, I say I want a divorce from you, Raymond, but when you've been with someone for 12 years and you have five kids with them, you know, that's not so easy.
So what I really love about um these coming episodes and what Maggie has written is that she, you know, they get back together and then they split up and then they get back together like it's more complicated than that.
