Jessica Lowndes Celebrates Her 21st Birthday

Welcome to YoungHollywood. com. What's up guys? It's Michelle Marie here at the Roosevelt Hotel to celebrate 90210's Jessica Lowndes 21st birthday party. Now the party hasn't started yet, so we're gonna hang out with her in her hotel room to see what she's doing. Let's go.

Hi, Young Hollywood. Come on in.

Who are you? This is kind of what's been going on for hours. I mean, you must have spent so much time getting ready. And it's a big 21.

I'm excited. Yeah. It's a Moulin Rouge, lingerie party. Women are like burlesque and lingerie and men wear suits and the the top hats and gloves. There's gonna be monkeys and there's gonna be fire eaters.

And it's serious?

Oh, you have no idea. I'm going all out.

It's gotta be like a real process to actually pick out the perfect outfit. So how did you find it?

I was doing a lot of running around, like finding like fishnets, finding shoes. I had seen this bra in Vogue and they had like tied it around the neck. I already knew that was kind of what I wanted to do. And the tutu, I just thought it was fun and this is not just any tutu.

Oh no, this is a pretty intense tutu and you got the bloomers and I love it. Let's talk about um 90210 and you know, just the success of the show. You're so lucky. You're on one of the hottest shows on television right now.

I'm so lucky. I was only supposed to be in the first two episodes. So, it's just been and like even back then, when I thought two episodes, I thought I was like the luckiest person in the world and I felt truly blessed and I got to sing on TV and that was enough for me. I know. And then it's just become so much more.

I saw you buying drugs from Jasper. I wasn't buying drugs. And what was he doing walking out of your car with a lot of cash?

The storylines are slightly terrifying because I have no personal experience with them. Like I had done a lot of research for like the drug portion because again, I didn't want to make a mockery of it. I didn't want it to look fake. Right. Um, And yeah, like every day, it's it's very dramatic stuff and it's real pressing issues in society and I think the best gift that I can give as an actress is to help other girls not feel so alone, or guys, not feel so alone in their situation that they're going through, they can relate to my character and um I think that's the best thing. The more I thought about things, the more I realized that we were only together because I needed you. And that's not love. So yeah, I do feel completely different. And it has nothing to do with drugs. I guess I was never really in love with you.

It's gotta be hard to come, you know, off of that character because it's intense.

Very intense. It's very intense, but I I love it and they're like stories that really need to be told and I feel really blessed and fortunate.

And you sang one of the songs I know on one of the episodes, correct?

Yes. Um, it was amazing. I got to help write it and there's gonna be a lot more singing this year, so I'm very excited about that. And I've actually been recording and working on my own stuff which is more like sexy, dancey, edgy. I'm actually playing it at the birthday party. Yay. But I'm not telling anybody 'cause I want to see everyone's like real like natural reaction. But um yeah, it's gonna be fun.

We got the exclusive, guys. Now one thing I know about you is that I mean, your makeup's always like to the T, your hair is always beautiful.

I have an amazing team. I'm very very blessed.

So what what was the process with your hair and makeup today?

Um well, Stevie Christine always does my makeup. She's amazing. Um she's over at Kate Somerville. And then today we had Theodore Leaf um

Theodore Leaf and Christine Christine Simons who is responsible for this huge, awesome insanity thing going on. And I got black diamonds in my hair actually.

Beautiful. Like real diamonds. Beautiful. Now now what's the key to actually keeping the hair silky even though it's curled because sometimes it can get frizzy.

Oh, I used to work in Atlanta, honey. Atlanta. They're just used to the big hair. We can do some big hair.

That's awesome. You do it right.

Yeah, and then we did like a little like Veruca Lake inspired front. So it's a little bit of madness with a little of old Hollywood combined.

Well, this morning I actually use this product called Bioluster. Okay. And it's insane. Can you believe we just did a restoring treatment on our hair and it's still like light and fluffy and shiny.

Now your eyelashes are my favorite part. Thank you so much. I mean, How did this all come about to be an actress? Was this always your dream?

It was always my dream and my mom didn't want to be like a stage mom. She never like pushed me into it or forced me. Um it just kind of happened naturally. Like I was shopping downtown Vancouver and walked into an open cattle call for this Peter Pan movie. And I caught my taste of LA. Like I didn't want to go back to high school. I wanted to be down here. I got representation, which was amazing. So lucky. So I homeschooled my 12th grade year in three months and the day I got my driver's license, I drove down.

Where would you love to see yourself in the next five years?

Oh, that's I have so many plans. Um, I want to do the music thing, that's kind of the next step. Um, and do more films, like establish more of a film career. And then eventually I would love to do Broadway in New York.

Wow.

'Cause then I get to do both.
