Yeah. Yeah, it's the only it's the only place in uh where we are in Maine um that is not like uh under construction or, you know, yeah, so this is this is all we got. I hope I hope there's not like hammering going on.

How long have you

I've been up here for um a couple weeks now. So I've you know, just kind of hanging with the family and just uh just kicking it. Like Kind of nice to just unplug. There is nothing going on in Maine. Your blood pressure just drops. Like nothing to do except eat lobster and hang out and drink with the family. So it's been great.

I've never been to Maine, I but I just know I want to go whale watching there one day. That's good, right?

Whale watching is cool. There was actually this one place that we went, the weirdest whale watching tour I've ever done. Um and basically what they did was they they stuck this like microphone down into the water. And this guy on a violin played like whale noises, like he listened to like the whale calls, like underwater and he'd go, on his violin. And our boat, all these other whale watching tours were going on and our boat was surrounded by whales. That's I guess. He is communicates with them.

Yeah, totally.

It's a very specific, a very weird guy. Probably not a guy I'd hang out with uh, you know, normally, but uh, uh good for whale watching. For we want to talk about, you know, Jurassic World Camp Cretacious.

Yeah. How to say that? That's a hard one. By the way, I'll mess it up. I'm glad you said it first. At least we'll have that. My mom this morning was telling me what I was getting ready. I was like, okay, got it.

Yeah. Yeah, it's it's it's not easy. I mean, even while um even while we were recording it, you know, they give you all these like they give you all these words that are like, you know, prehistoric sort of like word that only like a handful of scientists or archaeologists could say and I'm like I have to say them like they're normal and I that's what took me a lot of takes. Right. It was all that. You know, nothing nothing normal about, you know, rattling off like a bunch of like Latin words.

I have the kids. We talked to the kids, well, we, I, talked to the kids before this and they said the same exact thing. They were like, we can't do dinosaur names. We can't do it.

Well, especially since kids like you know, that that's also the embarrassing thing is like sort of the older, you know, as the camp counselor of the group. You have all these kids that are like really professional and very good at their job and everybody in the sound booth reminds you that they didn't have problems saying these words and you're a grown man. Like, yeah, yeah, it's like uh, okay, that's uh little little subtle digs, little subtle digs, yeah.

So you literally listen, we we saw in another interview that you listened to the Jurassic Park soundtrack when you ran.

Yeah.

And now you're literally in a history-making show because it's the first TV show.

Yeah, pretty cool, right?

That's insane.

It's funny, it's funny because um, yeah, people, people make fun of me. It's like I, you know, I grew up on movies, I love movies and one of the things that I like to do is uh, yeah, listen to movie soundtracks. like movie soundtracks like get me pumped up, like the stories like I can almost like picture like whether it's Indiana Jones or you know, Jurassic Park, Apollo 13, like, I just yeah, it's like you're part of that movie and like, you know, you could you could do it with transformers, you could run away from a bunch of robots while you're running if you want. But, you know, I love uh, I love Jurassic Park. So, you know, makes you run faster if you feel like there's a soundtrack of a Velociraptor, a T-Rex chasing you, you know, it's how you stay in shape. Yep.

And when you were recording throughout, would you go for runs and listen to it still or you would change it up?

Uh, you know, it's it's interesting. It's like, it's almost like um, working on the show is almost like being on like fireman's call because you, you know, they'd call me like the day before and be like, hey, we got this new thing and like it wasn't like a lot of prep time, like they'd be like, here's the new script, like, let's record it. So I didn't have a whole lot of time to uh, to just like focus on only dinosaur soundtracks uh, to run to, you know, I was shooting this during Top Gun. So I or I was recording all this stuff during Top Gun. So, you know, really I'd be on a military base, I'd come back, you know, and so yeah, you go from jets to dinosaurs. So all very

Right. big cinematic aggressive things.

Yeah, different soundtracks for, you know, different uh, different uh settings I guess.

Yeah, we were going to ask you about Top Gun and filming that, like how was it filming two basically not maybe completely because you have like dinosaurs and stuff, but how was like, you know, filming the two?

Well, I mean, the cool part is like those are two two franchises I've wanted to be a part of like my entire life. Uh, them at the same time which is insane. Yeah, yeah, I mean it's like it's it's it's a definitely a cool a cool moment because Steven Spielberg's obviously one of my heroes, Tom Cruise is one of my heroes and, you know, getting to kind of collaborate with them on I would say two properties that sort of I mean, I would say Steven Spielberg is probably one of his most famous movies if not his most famous movie. Um, you know, something that's definitely probably bought him more houses than any other movie. Um, you know, and and you know with Tom Cruise like, you know, uh, you know, with Top Gun. I mean, I would say that that is probably a movie that defines Tom more than any other movie ever. So, youm know, getting to work with your heroes on on on these two is pretty, pretty damn cool.

do you when you hear your voice or you see yourself act, do you cringe at all or you like it?

You know, I always warn people, I probably with animated, you know, it's a, I mean look, you I'm like a goofy camp counselor. There's not like a whole lot of pride like and, you know, it's not like a cool, I'm not supposed to be a cool guy. Um, but but there's every time I tell people anytime like I watch a movie the first time, I I always tell like, you know, the director, the producer, I'm like, I've never ever felt good walking out of a first screening. I hate myself. I I look at everything I did wrong, I look at I was like, it never, it never works out. But then I watch it the second time and I'm good and you'll see me happy and optimistic and whatever. But the first screening never goes well. It's like

Right.

just who I am, you know, but um, you know, on this one it's like, you know, it's just fun. It's just like and again, it's like it's the teen story. It's like all everybody that you talk to, I mean, that's the cool part about Steven Spielberg is like the stuff that sort of defined Steven early on like all those Amblin movies, you know, that we love. It's like that's sort of like the feeling of this. It's like from the perspective of the teens, which I think is makes it more magical. You know what I mean? The focus from like all the adults in Jurassic World to like the teens in Camp Cretaceous is like a cool, I think it's a cooler story, you know.

Yeah, for sure, for sure. And what is one of the scenes like say this was real life that you would want to act out or happen in real life?

That's a great. You know, that zipline Have you seen any of it yet?

Yeah.

Yeah, so I mean that zipline scene. I'm a big zipline guy. Um, there's actually one time we have we have a zipline in our at the ranch in Texas and um and there was one time I was trying to impress a girl by uh sliding throwing the zipline out and then jumping to it. But like I barely caught it. So I basically swung and then did like a flip and landed on my back like two stories down. So that that didn't work out in terms of the cool factor. Uh, you know,

Doesn't tend to impress.

You know, even even in my mind, like why that would impress a girl, like it just doesn't make a lot of sense. But, you know, you know, when you're like 17 and you're like, yeah, I'm gonna throw it out there, catch it. Did she love me? Uh, yeah, no, it's just not the case. So it definitely didn't work out. Not a cool move. You know, you have not not uh a pleasurable experience by any means, landing on your back, you know, two stories down is not, I wouldn't recommend it.

Not ideal. But the zipline, you want to do that in real life, but not the version.

Zipline, the zipline scene was kind was kind of cool. Cause like I've never done like a zipline with that many people before. That seems kind of fun.

Like I can almost imagine like almost like a like a King of the Zipline sort of scenario where like like almost like a tug of war, like can you imagine if like there's like three people on this zipline, three people like on that line and trying to push each other like move over, like that could be kind of cool. That Especially if there's dinosaurs, you know, right underneath you, just raise the stakes. Right. Just throw some dinosaurs down there. We're good. Yeah, I'm I'm always down to make things interesting for sure.
