Young Hollywood

Hey, what's up, guys? Hanging with me right now, I have the David Spade. David, how are you? Are you going to have some sort of Chiron that says why they would know me at the bottom?

David Spade

Maybe you've seen

Young Hollywood

Everyone knows you. Grownups or Dicky Roberts? How are you doing today?

David Spade

I'm doing great. I'm excited to be here at this hotel.

Young Hollywood

There's so much I want to talk to you about, so I'm going to jump right in. First of all, congratulations on your new show.

David Spade

Thank you very much. I'm stoked about it. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

What can you tell us about it?

David Spade

Uh, unfortunately, nothing. Um, No, uh, the show is very exciting for me because it's been a while since I did like this type of show. I always have this type of, uh, attitude towards, uh, you know, celebrities in showbiz and making fun of everything. But because it's fun to do with your friends and, you know. I think I talked to Comedy Central and, you know, my sort of POV, my whatever my comedy is right now. We, uh, you know, they they they were liking, and then the show. I said, you know, maybe if it's just no politics, that's a it's a good time to do a show. Mhm. And there's a lot of guys who are doing great stuff about politics on these late night shows, but maybe, I mean, it's too crowded for that. So, Come in, just make fun of the regular stuff. You know, current events and news stories, but also a lot of Hollywood people. I'm on my Instagram, making fun of The Bachelor. I make fun of

Young Hollywood

So, do you watch The Bachelor?

David Spade

I'll make fun of anything, yeah. Of course, I do, yeah.

Young Hollywood

Well, I saw that you are doing Game of Thrones reviews.

David Spade

Yeah, I heard that.

Young Hollywood

So, you're a fan.

David Spade

That was me finally caving in and watching it, but I'd never seen it. So, I decided to watch the second half of the very last season.

Young Hollywood

That's where you started?

David Spade

Yeah. So, I didn't know what was going on. So, I go, you know what? I just watched one, I'm going to review it. And then I'm like, this guy comes in, and this girl has a haircut from Benchwarmers. Her friend should tell her to gel it up or something because Cersei looks stupid with that bowl cut. So, It's amazing. I just watching it when you don't know it was funny because I just made fun of it and didn't really understand it.

Young Hollywood

Yeah, I love where you say, "You really sit through their credits every single time?"

David Spade

Yeah. Because at the beginning, I'm like, "Is it still going?" Yeah. I go, "This is the first half hour." I don't But overall, the show is good. Mhm. And then I saw the documentary after, and it was that was cool to see. They did the final read-through. And then Daenerys, I guess that's what it is, the blonde girl. She reads, and then Jon Snow reads, and he goes, "And he stabs her," and he goes, "Like they didn't see it ahead of time." So, they were like all freaking, they started crying. It's crazy. It's fun to see the little BTS. Lingos, stay close, put it at the bottom.

Young Hollywood

Okay, David, if you could have anyone guest star on your show, because you're going to have millions of people, right? At some point. But is there one person you really want to talk to? If so, who is it and why?

David Spade

Oh, yeah, sure. Oh, that's great. Um, I'd love to have an answer. Uh, You know, some of my stupid friends are good because I know them already. Right. Some old Saturday Night Live people or other people I've done shows with. But I don't know who's great out there. I do see a lot of movies and I think, oh, that person's cool, that's interesting. I will just start to cherry-pick and pluck. I'm not afraid to ask these people. Uh, they will probably say no, but it's not just a straight-up talk show. It's sort of if I bring a star on, it would be more to goof around with them. Mhm. So, I that's the hardest part. I have to think of something to do that makes it appealing for them. Right. Because I get asked to do things I don't want to do. So, uh, but, you know, I've done other people's shows. I'll think of something to come on to. I just usually go on their show and just tell stories. I would rather have them come on and not ask about their movie and stuff. I'd rather do something a little doofier. So, that's the hard part. Every time you have to think of a new one. Right. But we're working on that. That's what we're in the writing room right now.

Young Hollywood

Well, we can't wait.

David Spade

Yeah, yeah. There is funny stuff. It'll be, you know, some other comedians will be talking about everything, you know, putting pictures up on the screen, making fun of it. We'll go through some celebrities' Instagram, do the deep creep on them. Find out

Young Hollywood

We like that.

David Spade

That guy, Ansel Elgort, you know who this is?

Young Hollywood

Oh, yeah. Did you see his selfies?

David Spade

Yeah. What's going on? I want to know about that. No, I almost took 15 selfies yesterday just to match him. And then I was going to put How does that go? I was going to say, wait, did somebody already do this today? Uh, but if we had him on, I'd ask him to walk me through why and what happened.

Young Hollywood

I think that should be like your first guest.

David Spade

It would be. I'd be just like, please don't say you're serious. Tell me it's funny and explain how. Because you can't take, I mean, I get taking a selfie yourself. Right. But 15, I mean, it's just, it's too much. And they're all very similar, so I want to know what was the goal behind that, you know? Yes. We know you're good-looking. Stop. We love you, Ansel. You are good-looking. He's a stud. Yeah. I mean, listen, I would do it if I looked like him, but you can't get away with it.

Young Hollywood

Well, I think everyone's wondering, so if you can figure it out for us, that'd be great.

David Spade

You get away with it, actually. You get away with it. All the girls like Liking every single one.

Young Hollywood

Oh, yeah. Did you like them?

David Spade

Uh, I'm playing more hard to get with him. Ah. Okay. I'm playing quietly in the bushes. We'll see what happens. Let's see if he notices. All the fans will see your comments. Yeah. I do comment on celebrities all the time, too. Okay. It's so funny to walk in and just say something stupid.

Young Hollywood

Well, you have to follow Young Hollywood then. Comment on our stuff.

David Spade

I'll pop you a like. I got to go, I got to go.

Young Hollywood

You're going to ghost me after this, aren't you?

David Spade

No, I'm going to I'm going to ease into it. I have to audition it. I give you a couple days. If you don't produce, Okay. I punch out. So this is my audition for you then. First B friends. Yes. Is it you or is it Young Hollywood? Which one am I following? Oh, my God. Where's my button? Sister. I'm like, my was not part of it.

Young Hollywood

Well, David, thank you so much for hanging out. The show's going to be amazing. I already know. Congratulations. David, thank you for being so fun.

David Spade

Yes. I was fun, right?

Young Hollywood

You're so fun.

David Spade

Okay, good. This will cut down to a four-second piece, I hope.

Young Hollywood

No, we're going to post the whole thing raw. Actually. Yeah. Mhm. This should be like a podcast.

David Spade

Yeah, yeah. All right, guys. We're going to throw it to you in the studio.
