What's going on guys? Hanging with me right now, I have Molly McCook. How are you?

Molly McCook

I'm good. How are you?

Young Hollywood

Good, welcome. First time.

Molly McCook

Thanks for having me.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. I know. Hi. Congratulations, first and foremost, Last Man Standing and Good Trouble. Like, how does it feel to be on these shows right now?

Molly McCook

It's just been so much fun, and to be able to do comedy and a drama and do them at the same time and now celebrate them at the same time and have people see them is like, the best reward ever.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. Actually, I wanted to mention, your characters in each are just so different. So, do you, like, connect with one more? Is one more to play? Like, which one resonates a little bit more?

Molly McCook

Probably Mandy on Last Man. Um, just because she's silly and, uh, it's allowed. And I think that Rebecca is a little, um, she grew up, uh, under the spotlight, but not in a great way. Right. Um, in the political world, which is definitely not my world.

Young Hollywood

Well, we do want to talk about Good Trouble because we can honestly say this, we're all obsessed.

Molly McCook

Same. I'm honestly, it's so good. I'm its number one fan, and I'm on it. So like, dreams do come true.

Young Hollywood

I know. Like, honestly, like, number one fan, not on it, but always watching it. It's the best.

Molly McCook

Yeah. No, it's the best. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Um, and I don't know if you remember, but we actually met you at the premiere for Good Trouble at the Palace Theater. So cool. The cast is so lovely and you guys just seem so fun.

Molly McCook

Yeah, it's the best. I mean, Mariana and Callie both are such badasses, and I love The Fosters, but this show is like, it takes from The Fosters, and then it kind of, like, blows up into something that's even better, if you can imagine. And it's such a different show. And so, if you haven't seen The Fosters, you can totally watch Good Trouble and not be lost at all. It's so great. I had such a good time working on it. And I do want to shout out, um, Sherry Cola. Anytime I see Sherry, I mean, like, on Instagram included, I just like, I die. We love you so much. You're the best.

Young Hollywood

Um, but speaking about the girls, the show, I feel like it really centers on so many different types of topics. It's very trendy. Yeah. Um, but I feel like there's a lot of like, female empowerment in this. So, can you speak a little bit to that?

Molly McCook

Yeah, totally. I mean, I mean, both Callie and Mariana both are, uh, exploring their adulthood and their professional worlds. And I think that they get caught up in, uh, wanting to push forward in their careers, but also, you know, where are their, where are their hearts, and where do they stand with, with certain things going on in the world, and with being a female in those work environments? And I think that it's just like, it's so well done. It is. Um, and I feel like everybody can relate to it on different different levels, for sure. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Yeah. And I mean, the cast is obviously so talented, but just gorgeous, also. Can we just say that? I mean, it's kind of sick, right? It's just like, so much beauty in one cast. It's unreal.

Molly McCook

Yeah. Yeah. Oh god.

Young Hollywood

Okay, lastly, how would you, um, define Good Trouble?

Molly McCook

Being in trouble is sexy. The good kind of trouble is smart. Uh, you get yourself put in, in interesting situations. Um, with the struggles of, of being a human being. Uh, but but the good kind, um, is smart. And, um, I think that these ladies do that very well.

Young Hollywood

I like that. Yeah. It's so funny, because I've asked some of you guys in the cast, like, what you guys would define, and as you guys all get this kind of like, mischievous kind of look on your face, you're like, let me tell you what it means. Like, we asked Noah Centineo, he said, when you're doing something bad but you're smiling while doing it. And I was like, Sure. That would fit, right? For the show.

Molly McCook

I feel like that's what we, we all do when we're talking. Like, just now I was like, smiling but talking about trouble. Good trouble. Yeah. Yeah. Good trouble. Yeah. It's such a great name. Yeah. I know. That works.

Young Hollywood

And then before we let you go, um, we love getting dating advice here at Young Hollywood, and because your show's kind of revolved around that, we thought we it would be fun to ask you some dating advice. Okay. So, just what would you do in these situations? Okay. First one. What do you do when you get stood up on a first date?

Dating Advice

Ghost them, because they deserve it.

Young Hollywood

Which leads us into this next one. What do you do when you're being ghosted by someone you really like? So, you're a ghoster? You've ghosted in your past?

Dating Advice

Yeah, I have.

Young Hollywood

I like the honesty. We love that.

Dating Advice

But if you are ghosted, I think there's nothing wrong with sending a text and just being like, hey, not cool. Like, um, you could have just told me like, you know, you're not into it, or, you know, it wouldn't have worked. And, you know, but there's no reason to yell at anyone, or tell them off, but just kind of like, hey, I see you. Not cool. You know, like, good luck. It's a good learning experience for both parties, right? Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Okay, love that. Um, what do you do when you screenshot a conversation and you send it back to that person?

Dating Advice

Um, I've done that a lot.

Young Hollywood

You have?

Dating Advice

Yeah. Yeah. When I like, was on The worst is like, on someone's Blackberry. Do you remember like, Blackberries and like, BBM? Yes. But I did learn that if you were to delete the if you were to delete your conversation, it deleted theirs too. So you could save it if it wasn't read yet. Highly really did this more often than like, How did you even know that? Um, because I did it often. Um, what do you do like, you got to think on your toes like, just a quick like, Wouldn't it be crazy if someone said that to you? Like, that's just that would be so funny. And then go throw up in the corner. Um, you laugh because it's so real. It's like, I'm getting sweaty thinking about it. It's happened to me twice. I know it's why. But it's funny, because the Blackberries, the keys are just so loud too. That's what I always think about. Yeah. Okay. I kind of miss it.

Young Hollywood

Okay, final one. What do you do when you like someone and you worry it'll ruin the friendship?

Dating Advice

Have honest conversations with people. And don't like, make people feel uncomfortable, just like, you know, have a glass of wine, kind of laugh about it and say like, I kind of like you a little bit. I have a crush on you. And if you don't feel that way too, like, we can like, pretend this never happened, but, um, like if you're if you're into it, like, let me know. And face-to-face interaction is like, is key for just living life. Now. Yes. Yeah.

Young Hollywood

Well, thank you so much, Molly, for coming by. It was so nice to have you.

Molly McCook

Yeah, thanks.
