Bachelor Alums Ashley & Jared Reveal The Habits They Love About Each Other

About this video
For as long as the "Bachelor" franchise has graced our television screens, truly lasting love is a surprisingly rare thing to come out of any of the series, but when "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" alums Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon met during "Bachelor in Paradise", all bets were off, and they became a match made in TV Dating Heaven! Even now, while in quarantine in Ashley's childhood home under the watchful eye of her mother, the twosome still make time for date nights. Young Hollywood catches up with the now-married couple via Zoom where we get the scoop on how they have been spending their time during isolation and their advice for folks who are still trying to date while social distancing. They reveal what other celebrity couples they'd love to double-date with, plus they tell us about their TikTok-ing habits and their awesome giveaway campaign to benefit the Ronald McDonald House!

How are you guys?
We're good.
Should I put a different shirt on?
Yeah.
Do I look up?
I think you look fine. Just because like we're all in our houses, just chilling anyways.
What? I just had a workout. I'm trying. I'm trying, you know? Doing good, doing good.
Ashley, you went to Syracuse University.
Yeah, did you?
No, I didn't. My sister did, but I live in Syracuse. I'm from Syracuse, but now I live in LA.
Oh, nice. Did you love the school?
Yes, it was like the best.
Well, I was there for grad school, so it was only 14 months, but I love every second.
He's so tired of hearing about it.
That's not true. You know, like those experiences that you like want to relive all the time, but
Oh, yeah.
But the other person doesn't understand. So it's just like, ah,
What is why you guys are quarantining, you're on back on the East Coast with one of your parents, right?
Yeah, we're with my parents, uh, my childhood home. We've been here for eight weeks, almost eight weeks.
How's it going? At the in-laws for two months. How's that been?
I've been enjoying it. I'm honestly. I'm getting a little bit stressed that I'm going to have separation anxiety when we leave.
Yeah. What does a typical date night look like for you guys in quarantine? Like, are you still like romantic in quarantine or?
Well, Ashley's very romantic. She actually the other night set up a date for me, which was so sweet. She put a tent, uh, up outside, made out of uh the chairs, uh, from outside.
Sheets and, you know, sheets and chairs and then some patio chairs.
And like patio lights. And uh, we had a bottle of wine in there and some popcorn and we watched Mission Impossible 2, which was something that I I wanted to show her. So.
That's okay. So you're still you're still keeping the date nights alive and everything even even with your parents around.
I did like one other date night where I uh, put some lights out on our little balcony and we had dinner out there. It was very sweet.
If you guys could win and have a date night with any couple, who would you guys want to go on a date with? Double date with?
I mean, probably Tom and Gisele.
Oh, yeah. I was gonna say Ashton Kutch. Oh, Ashton and Mila, just because like we've met them and we feel like we already could like have a natural rapport with them. But I guess the dream would be Tom and Gisele.
Either Tom Brady and Gisele, uh, or yeah, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.
And what are some things that you, like, people might not really know, like certain habits that you love about each other? That's like low key that people don't really know.
Certain habits? Jared makes my coffee every morning, which is super cute because I wake up like three hours after him. So it used to be he just like made coffee for the two of us. But now he's like making his pot of coffee because we prefer pots over K-cups, and then he makes another pot when he senses I'm gonna be up within like a half an hour.
Nice. That's so cute. What do you do, Jared?
Um, and then something that I love about Ashley is Now so a little habit. Oh, a little habit. Um, well, there's just so many. It's hard to really pick one.
Pick one. There's just so many but one, one needs to be said.
Um, I think it's really cute when, uh, I get up from the couch, um, and she'll just be like, "Where are you going?" And it's really adorable because I'm literally just getting, you know, you know, a bottle of water or something.
No, you're always leaving me.
Or like, yeah, maybe I'll go like, you know, play a video game or go read a book or go work out or something. And she's just like, "Where are you going?" As if I'm gonna leave her for four hours. I'm like, I'm just gonna the other room. I'm just over here playing playing a video game. It's fine. It's so cute and endearing.
How do people are switched to online dating? Obviously, you guys were already married and everything like that. But for people that are trying to meet new people and find a connection via like live streaming FaceTime dates and stuff, do you have any advice for people that are like looking for love during social distancing?
Uh, be open to trying new things. I mean, we're just living. I feel bad. We're just living in a different world right now with social distancing, uh, so have FaceTime dates. Like, be open to the idea of being a little kooky and weird. And like, maybe even like dressing up and being like, hey, let's have an 8 o'clock FaceTime date. And, uh,
Well, yeah, I'm sure it's something weird, you know, something different. I think that would be normal for a couple who's like seeing each other, but they aren't like boyfriend, girlfriend yet. That's what I mean, dating. But then there's so many people out there who are going on first time FaceTime dates, which I can't imagine me being cool with that. I feel like I'd be super awkward. Wouldn't you? Would you be awkward?
I'm sure everybody's a little awkward. It's it's just awkward like for the Zoom to come up. Be like, "Oh, hi. How are you?" We're dating? Like or what is this?
I've done this thing called I called the Sutress for my best friend. So my sister and I are finding guys who we hope they're not all from the LA area, but she lives in LA. So we're trying to find guys in the LA area, um, that she can that she goes on 15 minute blind dates with. But she doesn't know what they look like, but they know what she looks like, what she does and all that stuff. And then they call in, she talks to them for 15 minutes. After that point, I cut them off and I've been streaming it on my Instagram Live and it's been so interesting. So now she's gonna go on three extended dates with the guys that she liked the most next week.
Oh my gosh. That's so cute.
And It's really quality guys through it. That's really nice.
Yeah. We didn't create a TikTok.
We did create a TikTok.
How's that going?
I think we're killing the game right now. We're living.
Do you We get frustrated when we do them though. Like, for some reason, I don't know, maybe we're just like too perfectionist or we have like these visions in our head that we wanted to like Our dog's really crazy out there. Um We like wanted the TikTok to look exactly the way we planned it in our head. And when it doesn't, we get so frustrated, but then, you know, we're proud when it's done.
Yeah. Literally.
How long do you usually take to make one?
I'll take like three hours. It's absurd. Really? I can't. Like, I'm a perfectionist. Like, I need it to be perfect.
We take a probably 30 minutes. Yeah. 30, maybe 45, depending if like it's I can't I don't think one has taken us more than a half an hour.
No, if it's like one of those back and forth script dialogues, it'll be like 45 minutes.
Yeah. We did one where, um
But the musical ones are a little different.
Yeah. Musical ones a couple like a month ago and those took like an hour plus, especially with the editing. That was like a two-hour process. We did one where it was Wolf of Wall Street. That took like 15 minutes.
Yeah, that's amazing. Yeah. Guys are posting on your socials, like your Instagrams and stuff. Do you send the picture or show each other the picture, like to say like, oh, should I post this or are you guys just post it?
We we he shows me a picture more than I would show him a picture. I have to get approval now. I don't want to post something. I made her sister cry one time from posting a picture. That was very early on in our friendship.
He made her sister cry?
She just didn't like I didn't notice the way she looked. I I was And then I thought she looked fine. And then I posted it and then I got a phone call from Ashley and she was laughing and I heard Lauren crying in the background and she was like, that picture you just posted. And then I looked and I was like, oh yeah, I guess Lauren does kind of look weird. I didn't even notice.
She definitely looked like, you know how sometimes like you can look deformed in a picture and she had like this big self-tanner mustache. It was really bad.
How did you react to that when she was crying? Would you did you delete it?
Horrible, obviously. I was definitely laughing cuz it's, you know, it was posted for like five minutes. They called me immediately.
Yeah. I mean, I was laughing obviously. It was really funny.
I cried. Still it's funny. I mean, I was laughing. Yes.
And when you post, you tell each other to like the photo. Like, go like my photo or it's like literally you just have your own path. You're just like posting it.
We always you know, like each other's photos, we comment.
Yeah. We always comment on each other's pictures. Yeah. I learned that from Tanner. Yeah. Because I used to so our friends Tanner and Jade from the Bachelor franchise. I used to see Tanner comment all the time under Jade's and then I was really I was like, oh yeah, I guess I should comment under yours more. Is it weird that I don't?
We thought it was an engagement thing too.
Yeah. Yeah, nice.
I love it.
And to talk to you today about your campaign that you have going on.
Thank you for having us. We're very excited to talk about it.
Yeah. And can you just tell us a little bit about why it's so important for you guys to help out the Ronald McDonald House Los Angeles?
And we were doing this campaign before the pandemic hit. And so Ronald McDonald House is just a very important part of the hospital system because especially when a family has a child in the hospital, the only thing they really should be worried about is their their their kid, obviously. Uh but unfortunately, as we all know, uh even if somebody that you love is in the hospital, life doesn't stop, which means bills still come in and um, you know, you have to go to work and do all these things and you could live two hours from the hospital, which means you have to commute back and forth. And so what the Ronald McDonald House does is they provide like apparent housing right next to the hospital. So they don't have to go back and forth. And they help out with trying to pay for bills and food and and so on and so forth. So it's a really just incredible foundation. Um, and so we're doing a giveaway for it, uh, which includes uh, a uh date, I would say, at the Bachelor Mansion. Yeah, so we're gonna have somebody fly out to LA, we're gonna put them in a nice hotel, um, transportation and hotel covered, and then we're gonna go give them a tour of the Bachelor Mansion. They can take as many pictures, videos as they want. Um, it's epic. And then we'll go grab some food and beers over at the Bachelor Mansion's owner's restaurant, which is right down the street from the mansion. And um, maybe get some like behind uh, the scenes secrets. Oh, the selfies that they're gonna take in there and the videos. Right. It's gonna last your Instagram for the lifetime of Instagram. And really. And all the money that you're donating to goes to an incredible foundation, like we talked about the Ronald McDonald House. And so, and I was gonna say, um, like every time I go back to the Bachelor Mansion, I think I've been there three times since the show. Yeah. And it it never gets old. It is truly magical. We'll water down the front if we have to. We'll literally We'll have a, you know, we'll maybe not a limo, but like we'll pull up in an Uber, do some sort of. A nice little Toyota Uber, you know. is to go to prizeo, uh, . com/doubledate. That's prizeo. com/doubledate, uh, and donate at least $10. You can donate as much as you possibly can, obviously. Uh, the more money you donate, the more chance you have at winning, uh, the experience at the Bachelor Mansion. Uh but you just have to donate at least $10. And like we said, it's it's an incredible foundation. So your money is going to a really good cause, yeah.
Well, thank you guys for talking to us today. We learned all about your little love in quarantine and everything with the Ronald McDonald House, Los Angeles, going on right now.
Hey, thanks for not asking if we're gonna have a quarantine baby.
Yeah. I literally I literally was prepping the question. I'm like, whatever happens, I'm not bringing you up the like even the word baby. Like even if I said baby. I was like, I'm not bringing it up. I'm not doing it. Once again, thank you for everybody. You can go to prizeo. com/doubledate. P r i z e o.
Yeah, so prizeo. com/doubledate and then please just donate at least $10. Anything you can, all the money goes to the Ronald McDonald House of Los Angeles and you'll have a chance to win a trip to the Bachelor Mansion.
