Oh, you're on the East Coast?

Yeah, so I take it it's early for you.

Oh my God, oh my God. They literally were like, do you want to Cuz I originally thought it was 2:15, cuz they do like the time. And then they were like, oh no, it's 11:15. I was like, Oh, that's All right, be my life. I'm not. This is the worst. I'm usually not put together that early. Are you in New York City or where are you?

I'm in Atlanta.

You're in Atlanta. Okay. Are you, okay, are you filming something?

I'm filming the second Shazam movie. So this is where we're filming. So, it's some fun stuff.

You like Atlanta?

Yeah, I like it. It's it's pretty humid here though, but um the city's, city's great. I mean it's it's popping here. So.

Yeah, it's hot though, yeah.

It's so hot. Oh my and I'm from Arizona. So I'm I'm used to that dry heat.

Yeah, you're used to the heat.

Yeah. So I'm used to the heat a little bit, but the humidity is like it's like 60% humidity.

Oh my God. Well, you've been in the studio a couple times before, pre-Covid. Right, pre-Covid. It's different. Our audience loves you, so we're excited to talk to you today about High School Musical, the musical. So you pop up in there, you play Zach and you're described as charming, smooth talking. Do you think that you would describe yourself like that in real life?

That's funny. Um, that's I mean it's yeah, I feel like I have some of those qualities for sure. Yeah. I mean, you know, Zach's just this I'm kind of one of those guys that likes to put, you know, someone else before myself, which is kind of similar to Zach. So yeah, I think we share similar traits for sure.

That's so funny, you probably read it and you're like, oh, easy. I could do that.

Yeah, yeah, like the yeah, those certain ones. I'm like, yeah, I got this in the bag. So that.

When you first uh cast it for, like read the script, were you like were you excited to be a part of like, or like back in part of the High School Musical?

Yeah. I was pumped. Yeah, because um I watched all of Season 1, so I was I was like a huge fan of it. And then, you know, I obviously did a show with Sophia Wylie before then. So uh, you know, it's you put two and two together, it's it was, you know, it's kind of like that's the opportunity. So I mean that's amazing. So I I I got so excited about it.

Yeah, that's so sick. And in the show, you help Sophia Wylie, you know, overcome this decision. Can you kind of shine light on that decision and uh, think that you'd support people like that in real life?

Yeah. I mean listen, it's a it's a big decision, obviously. You know, I mean, if anyone's stuck at the airport like that, that's not a good day. So it's kind of nice that Zach's just that like beam of light that's kind of like shining over her, you know, trying to, you know, somehow lift the mood. So um, I mean, it's a special thing right there.

So if you were like when you were watching the show like sitting back, in the main cast, who do you think that you would relate to most of the main cast? Or who would you want to play?

Who would I want to play? That's a good question. And the do the original High School Musical like Zach Efron or like

Right, right, right. that one do this one. Right.

Um, um, original would probably be Zach Efron, of course. I mean, that's kind of all I was watching when I was growing up and Zach Efron fan, like everyone else in the world. Um, I think my favorite character for this, for the series, would probably be gosh, everyone's so great. Everyone's so different and uh

We've talked to all of them a couple times and it's like, I love you all. I love you.

I know, like you can't you can't really pick one cuz they're all so different and they and they all are so special in like different ways. Um, but let's just say I really like um Olivia's character. Yeah. I really like her character. Um, and Sophia's and Matt's and all of them. But Olivia as you took off, she really, she really decided to change the world. She did that.

Yeah, she she she went she went crazy with her talent. So That's great. Proud of her. Do you have your cell phone next to you?

First impression. Oh my gosh. We were so little. I was like she's this girl's so nice. Like she's just always has a smile on her face, like goes with the flow, like I'm just a good girl. I don't know. Like yeah. I remember like cuz she we were I think I was 13, 14, and then she was like

Yeah. 12? Yeah, young. So, we were like little, we were little babies. It's weird, isn't it weird how you just stayed connected though, like just, acted the same. It's weird.

Right. It's crazy. It's a universe.

I think just the the thought of getting to be on set with Sophia and then my same crew. Like just it's like a reunion. Yeah, we filmed the first one.
