This day when I was outside playing with the water hose, I saw that little bits of skin were peeling from my toes.

We're here with Darren Kagasoff of Secret Life of the American Teenager. We're here in Compton at a school for Read Across America. What drew you to this?

Just, you know, to do a good thing, you know, and it was great reading to all these kids in these different classes and see their faces how excited they got.

Now, we interviewed your cast a few months back and I asked everyone the same question. I said, What's the one question that fans ask you the most about the show?

What's it like kissing Ricky? He's so hot. Oh my God, he's so hot. What's it like kissing him? Uh, they want to know, uh, if we know Ricky and what he's like. Where's Ricky? They always ask, Where's Sarah and I love him, where's Ricky? Oh my gosh. That's very flattering though, I must say.

We talk a lot to Francia. She loves working with you and she says the kissing scenes are interesting.

It's weird because there's 100 people watching you while you're kissing. Like we, as long as we look like we're into it, I'm fine. But we're really not. We're just, as soon as they yell cut, we're like, cool. Nice scene. All right, let's go. When the cameras are on, I mean, I'm gonna kiss her like it's my girl, you know, so. But when once it's cut, it's like, it's we're so professional on set, so it's like we do what we have to do and then it's like, oh, hey, uh, do you wanna go get a Hershey's or something, you know?

Any reveals, any secrets, any sneak peeks you can give us into what's happening on the show?

Ben and Amy, they get married. So, uh, we'll see how that turns out. They get divorced or something. And Ricky, I don't know, we'll see if he starts taking responsibility for this baby or if he stays the irresponsible guy that he is.
