Welcome to younghollywood. com. It's Michelle Marie. I'm here with this Young Hollywood herself, Raven Simone. How are you?

Doing well and yourself?

Very good. Well, I have to say that you have really created this amazing image for yourself. Definitely represent Young Hollywood well. How do you actually not get, you know, bombarded with like the paparazzi and with all the negative stuff that's out there?

I'm not in it for the fame, I'm not in it for, you know, the celebrity. I'm in it to work. I'm in it to have great characters to have underneath my belt so that my grandchildren can, you know, enjoy watching me later on. And also, I stay in my house unless it's, you know, great parties and things like that.

So what's a typical day for you if you're not working and you don't have anyone around and you're just alone, what is a great way to keep zen?

I do keep zen actually. Um, my house is a big zen magnet. I meditate and I cook and I have three dogs and then I watch the science channel. And then I go into the studio because I'm always in the studio working on something, so you never know what's going to come out.

What's coming up with you uh, with the studio and with your work so far?

You can check out Raven Simone presents. com and buy your DVDs. That helps with um, people to decorate their house in a budget and learn how to cook of all ages. I'm working on my fifth album as we speak. I'm not with Hollywood Records anymore. So I'm excited that I get to step into another journey into my life a little bit older. Yeah, I'm just trying to become a better person so that when I come out again, people realize that I'm now 23 and I'm growing up.

If you were to see yourself in 10 years, where would you like to see yourself and what would you be doing?

I would like to see myself um, on 17 acres, calling my accountant, making sure that everybody's doing their job. Because my work would already be done.

You're to retire, right?

That hopefully we'll get that in five years, but we're working, slowly but surely.

So 33 is a retire year, right?

33, let's make it, let's make it 30. 30, by that time hopefully I'll have a lot of different, um, talent under my belt, you know, different people that I'm managing and, um, can help create their dreams. And I've already, what had my show on the air for a while. Then I can just be able to hopefully set other people's dreams off, so 30, that's what it do. Hi, my name is Raven Simone.
