Welcome to Younghollywood. com. Hey, it's Jo Ellerman with Young Hollywood. We are here about to take a class with Shane Sparks at Millennium Dance Studio. This place sure turns out the stars and you're about to meet one of them. Her name's Montana Tucker.

So Montana, we are here at Millennium Dance Studio. You're about to take class with Shane Sparks. Shane's one of those people that no matter as big as he is, he's always stay down to earth and that's really hard to find in this industry. So your sound is unique. Tell us about that.

It's not just pop and and it's 'cause I'm a hip-hop dancer at first. So I always want to incorporate, you know, my dancing and my hip-hop style into my music. Yet it's not R&B hip-hop.

And you have a song on Step Up 2.

What it was, it was a MySpace contest. And I entered a MySpace contest. You know, you don't really know what's gonna happen from that. It just blew up. We got to record the song and go to the premiere of the movie and the song is in the movie and on the soundtrack.

Now, you collaborated with a huge artist, Flo Rida.

I did an event with him and Rick Ross down in Miami where I'm from, and we met from there and it just a bunch of ideas put together and it just came about and it's called Turn It Up, and it's my song featuring Flo Rida.

So what kind of work goes into being a backup dancer for an artist like Ashanti?

The exciting thing for me and and the hard thing for me was, I was only 13 when I was dancing for her, and all the other dancers were like 20-something years old. It's nuts. It's great.

So speaking of dance, you got a dance class with Shane Sparks tonight.

Wow, cool. He makes it so much fun. It's not just like you're learning moves and you're dancing. And he makes you have a good time and you get to work out too. I come out there and like, uh.

So we just talked to Montana. Okay. You've been working with her for a while.

Been working with her since she was about 11 or 12. First time she walked up to me, she was like this big, but with that face. And I was like, is this a midget? It's not, I'm playing. No, but she was so beautiful as a kid, you know what I mean? Very, very talented. And you know how when you see somebody the first time, you just know that there's something special there. And I would go to Miami whenever they called, just to either work with her for a song, for a showcase, or just to do classes, just to groom her, because I knew when she turned 15, 16 years old, she was gonna tear the world apart.
