Selena Gomez On Taylor Swift

Welcome to YoungHollywood. com. I am here with Selena Gomez. Tonight is a huge night for you, record release of your brand new album, Kiss & Tell.

It's been such a whirlwind. I mean, I've been working on this record for two years. So, to finally get it out has been such a blessing, and my band and everyone is so wonderful. So, it's just been going great and I'm really happy with everything.

Now, what made you decide to name your band The Scene?

Well, eventually I kind of hope that it just goes to being The Scene or Selena and The Scene. Um because I I kind of love I love giving credit to other people, and, you know, being on a show where I have like a cast with me, I I kind of wanted that effect in a band. You know, I wanted to have the the having like older brothers and having the support of them there.

Now, what are we going to expect with your album? We know it's a pop record.

I said that if if my music doesn't make you want to move or headbang or anything, I have failed. Because that's all I wanted. I wanted it to be fun, empowering, and just fun.

And we've followed your career for a really long time. I know that you said you were focusing on music, whether it's TV, film, or music, like, what are you really drawn to right now of what you're doing?

I'm really focused on my music. Oh, oh, oh, it's magic. You know. Lately I've been in the studio. I wrote my first song that's going to be on my record, so I'm really excited and I'm just really focused on that right now. I can't wait for my fans to hear it.

Now, what's the next focus that you have on the horizon?

Tour. Tour. Big tour. Yes.

Can we see a tour with you and um Taylor Swift, maybe? I know you guys are really good friends.

That would be amazing. I'm not sure that would's going to happen, but that would be awesome.

How do you feel about what happened at the VMAs with Taylor?

She's a very strong girl, and I think she's she handles herself so classy.

Are you excited to be here for Selena?

I'm so excited. Selena is just like my big sister. I love her so much. She's so sweet and I'm so excited for her album. I love Falling Down, but I know it's a good here the rest of the album. I think she has a great sound, you know. Yes, too. She's just like, you know, I love Selena.

So what is it you think about Selena that makes her such a huge star? I mean, she's had so much success the past few years.

Well, I think that not only is she a amazing performer, she's a great actress, singer. But I think she's also just a really sweet girl and, you know, she was just in Africa doing humanitarian work, and now she's back here for a launch party of her amazing album. I think she has both. You know, I think that She's got everything, you know.

Now, you play Selena's boyfriend on the show. So tell us what that experience was like.

It was the best experience of my career so far. She was one of the most fun and and exciting people to work with. And she's so easy to get along with that it's, you know, it doesn't take much to kind of just mesh. So.

How do you feel about, you know, her album release and everything that's going on with her career right now?

I think it's going to be great. I mean, she's got so much hype on her. She's probably the most popular girl in Hollywood right now, having a hit show on Disney, being so loved by everybody, and then a record coming, everybody's going to jump to get that record. So, I mean, it's just going to take off from there.

Congratulations, Selena. Congratulations.

Congratulations, girl, you finally did it. What a great accomplishment. I mean, she's had so much success over the past few years and she's been working so hard.

Now, you guys have had so much success too with the show. How is it being on the show?

Uh it's amazing. It's a good experience. It's a learning experience for all of us and, you know, it's nice to meet kids every day who have learned from the show. We are very privileged to uh be in a piece of art that really affects people and so, yeah, we're very lucky. It just sucks having to work with these two all the time. That's the only thing.

I do I do like I really like working with Frank. She is.

Yeah.

You guys got to have like little button heads over there, huh?

Fortunately, I don't ever have to work with him. So I'm good on that.

It's tough. Alan and I are both such masculine people that we're constantly fist fighting.

So who wins most of the fights? Who's the winner?

I do. Oh, oh.

It looks like she's going to win that one.
