Getting Dressed for High School Musical 3 Premiere

Hi, I'm Alicia Rulin and my high school musical three premiere is today, and I'm really excited.

I just got my hair and makeup done.

Still lipstick to do, but I'm going to go show you my dress.

Now, I tried on like a bunch of dresses, probably like 100, and this is the one that I found.

I was like, yes.

Not only does it fit perfectly, but it's so fun.

It's green.

Still Disney appropriate, but a little sassy.

We have the pleasure to be inside the hotel room with Alicia Rulin, who is looking fabulous already.

You're getting ready for the big day today.

How excited are you?

I actually haven't seen the movie on a big screen yet.

I missed the big like screening for the rest of the cast, so I'm so excited to be here.

And I'm getting almost ready.

I'm still in a robe, but the process has started.

Now, we have the finished product.

It is gorgeous.

What is it about this movie that you think has just become such a phenomenon?

It's really innocent, and it's about childhood enthusiasm, about dancing, singing with your friends, and not having too much drama.

You guys are seniors.

What can we expect for this movie?

I think High School Musical 3 is kind of like the completion of the Wild Cats.

It's more of a tribute more than anything to our fans.

Like this is graduation.

This is prom.

This is what the Wild Cats do.

This is all their, you know, their issues and their problems are going, oh my gosh, our future is here.

It's not really what you do, but the fact that you make your own choice and it's your choice.

Not your parents, not your friends, but it's your future.

It's a night of all nights.

Gotta look your Tell us a little bit more about, you know, how you think that you're similar or different from your character.

Kelsie and I are a lot alike in the third movie.

Um, I was pretty shy in high school, but not to the point of where I didn't like make friends.

I just kind of kept to myself.

I wish I was musically inclined like she is, but I'm not.

You play a little piano though, right?

A little, little.

Like very small.

Like un poquito.

Is there anyone that you can tell us about that is a prankster on set or any funny stories?

During the third one, Zach was definitely the prankster.

Oh my gosh, like every other day he was doing something.

But we really got him back because we had the big water balloon fight.

And then we like TPeed his whole trailer and toilet paper.

The girls are just nuts for him.

It's not just his looks.

There's something else.

He has that character.

I met him when he was like 16.

He was a baby.

So I've seen him like grow up.

But I'm like, oh, you're so cute.

So I don't obviously see him that way of like a heartthrob.

But I do see him as a really great guy and he's very down to earth and every girl in America wants to be like his girlfriend.

So it's Disney's biggest movie and you're a part of it.

Did you ever dream that you'd be part of something so huge?

Oh, no, not at all.

I remember watching High School Musical One and being in the cafeteria scene and the big dance number.

And I was going, hmm, like this is really special, but nothing to what it's become and I'm really blessed to be here.
