Welcome to Younghollywood.com. Hey, guys. I'm Tana Diana and I am at the Disney Mixer for Shake It Up. We're going to meet the cast and get our groove on. So, I saw you shaking it up out here. So, the show is about dancing. Can you tell us a little bit about that? Well, we work with a wonderful choreographer. His name is Rosara McCoy, and his assistant, Claude. It's been really a pleasure working with him and it's about dance and friendship. So, I know you're a dancer already. I mean, you're dancing at so many of the events I've seen you, like just by yourself for no reason. Do you love dancing? I love dancing. If even if there's a song that I don't know, I'll be like, "Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah." It's just really random. So, tell me about your character in the show. CC Jones is very outgoing. She really loves, loves fashion. And we have Jessica here from she did Sex and the City and uh we go through a lot of wardrobe for CC Jones. Shake It Up Chicago, it's only like our favorite TV dance show in the world. We watch it every Saturday. Those dancers are sick. Oh, I would so kill you to be on that show. Oh, I would so let you. This is a pretty big role for you to land. Oh, yeah, for sure. This is my very first TV show, so it's kind of like a dream almost. And like to see my face on those on those posters out there is kind of crazy. I mean, you didn't just land any role. You are one of the leads in Shake It Up. Amazing. What did you feel when you got that call? Um, I think this this was my reaction right here. I I didn't say anything and my dad kind of looked at me like, "Are you all right?" You know, cuz I didn't say anything. I didn't know what to say. It's like such a shock. And it was really cool and I I didn't know what to say. I was speechless. What do you think is more difficult? Dancing or acting? Oh, man. I'd say neither. Just because I think it's something that I try my best at and, you know, it can't be hard if you go 100% and you just do all that you can. I see you have a flyer for the Shake It Up Chicago local popular television dance program. We also have a flyer. Now, it's your chance to exit from the audition gracefully, hanging your heads like dogs. We've we've One of your first major roles? Uh, I've actually been in Lost as Young Jacob. Uh, for any of you Losties out there. But this is like one of my bigger roles. Uh it's going to be a lot of fun. I came up with the accent. So, like we Tell me about your character. Say cuz you're going to get into the accent. Oh, yeah. I'm going to go. I'm just Let me know. Who are you? I play Gunter. Gunter Hessenhefer. And my sister and I, Tinka Hessenhefer. Yes. Don't you love it? Uh, the writers are great. He's very confident. He always just goes for what he believes in. He he strives for it. And he sort of believes that he's great at everything. But that's just because he's trained really hard to get where he is. He's trained with like the best professionals like out in Eastern Europe. Yeah. And he comes from a uh country that is you know, we haven't come up with a name yet but it's not like any normal country. It's their own. And you are the younger sister of Um, we're twins. Oh, you're twins. Yep. So, um, yes, we're a couple seconds apart. Um, so yeah, I play the twins, Gunter and Tinka. We're kind of the friend-enemies of the show. So, it's a really fun role to play. I love it. So, how'd you get involved with the show? What happened when you got that call? Oh, gosh. There wasn't really a lot of words that came out of my mouth. I just screamed forever. So, do you feel like when kids start off in Disney that they end up being there for quite a while? It's like a family situation. I mean, it is a family without a doubt, but it really is uh about how bad you really want to be there. At the end of the day it's if you enjoy being there and if you want to stay there for a long time, you will. If you don't, then you always have your exit and you work things out from there. You know what I mean? So, it's not like you're trapped or anything. Oh, okay. Yeah. You know, it's it's really if you want to be there, you'll I don't want to be trapped at Disney. That's a good place to be trapped. I I'm with it. I'm loving it. It's really fun. It's a great place to be. So, do you know how to dance? I do. I've been a dancer all my life. I came out the womb dancing. I mean, Michael Jackson at three years old on the TV just breaking it down. That's how it all started. And from that point, I did Camp Rock, Camp Rock 2 and just kept dancing. And now I'm here. Hey, what's up? I'm Bal Thorm. Watch Shake It Up and you're watching Young Hollywood. Woo!
