So you are the man with the iron fist. Power belongs to no one until it is seized through sex and violence. Everyone is so afraid of these men. Are you?

Writing, directing, starring and doing the score for this film. Where did you get the idea, how did where did it all begin?

Well, the idea came about um, a few years ago um, hanging out at Quentin Tarantino's house, me and Eli Roth. I had this story that I you know, I wrote, maybe about 60 pages. And I told Eli about it and he was like, wow Bobby, that sounds like a great movie, you know what I mean? And a few years later we wound up on a plane together coming from Iceland, I think. And uh, we talked about it again. And uh, Eli was like, you know, I want to help you make this movie. And I went and had some people who already wanted to do it with me but he uh, I said there's nothing like doing something with a buddy. And we went to Quent and said, look, we want to do a movie together. You know, he's our mentor.

These are good buddies to have by the way. I just want to say. Any of you would be good buddies.

He's our mentor, but he went to him and said, you know, we want to do this movie together. He gave us the blessing. Uh, we went to Universal and got some, uh, some some great executives up there who understood the vision. They gave us a chance to do it and uh, Quent got the cast and here we are.

You know, we did talk to Eli Roth. I spoke to Eli Roth about a year ago. And he taught me how to do an evil laugh, because he is the king of evil. Like that is an evil. It's yeah, you see that that face. Are you ready? Let's see it. Very good. How are your skills? You have been hanging out with Eli Roth.

That's way more evil than that. What's yours?

Um, probably not very good. You're your power in the film, you are brass body. You want to tell the villain in the film, but it takes a lot, a lot of energy to, uh, to get rid of this guy. So of course you're going to go to a six-time WWE world champion. If you want the ultimate. So I know, I mean you're obviously wrestling, Kung-Fu. What can you teach the Green Lantern? Any basic moves that you can teach me? A little Kung-Fu?

Well, we are women, right?

Yep.

And you get a guy coming on to you. Just give him a pretty smile.

Okay, are you ready?

Yep.

Come on to me. Hey baby, what's going on, what's going on? It works. It just melted me.

See you have the power of melting men. You know what I mean? So that's a good power to have.

Some pleasure before business? You are business. This is pleasure. Russell Crowe is playing a role you never seen him in.

You know, his character of uh, Jack Knife is actually, um, is a very multi-dimensional character. And when you think that he's all about one thing, he's actually all about another. And so the girl's thought it because he comes on, he comes in the movie like a freak. I mean he's just He's dislocating girls in this movie. I mean. He did something, he did something on the set that made all of us guys kind of melt. Because you know, when you do a movie you got to, uh, you got to rehearse and you got to kind of get to know your actresses and stuff like that and and he wasn't, he wasn't there for the whole shoot like we were, you know what I mean? Yeah. And so, I remember I had a scene to do with a girl and it took me like 16 takes to get a good kiss or something, right?

Oh sure it did. You just kept saying, oh, we didn't get it. Let's do it one more time. Let's try it again.

No, it's not easy. It's not easy. It's not easy, you know what I mean? Unless you're a pro master.

Pro master kisser?

Just actor, you know what I mean? Or or just some And and and you know, Russell Crowe is one of the best actors in the world. You know, I'm I'm I'm good and and Dave is good but this guy is a master. He comes in and I guess on the second take. He he he got he got it cracking already, you know what I mean? And I was and all the rest of us like, okay. That's how you do it. You know what I mean?

Obviously, the film was both business and pleasure for both of you. But what is the most pleasurable thing you could be doing in the next few days while you're here at Comic Con? What are you looking to do?

Well, I'm having fun here just really seeing all the different costumes, you know, If I if I could get Stanley to sign one of my comic books, that'd be my my greatest pleasure.

This is all it's all pleasure. I mean being here is is pleasurable, it's not uh, we were here last year and we weren't promoting anything. We were both here as spectators. And just being here, being able to talk about something, you know, that we love and something that has been his passion and his vision for years and years and years. I mean, it's nothing but pleasure.
