My name is Amandla Stenberg.

And we are the cast of The Darkest Minds. Quick synopsis: The Darkest Minds is about a world where 90% of kids have died, and those who are left have developed powers of mind control, telekinesis, and more. We are kids who have escaped from camps that these adults have put us in because they're afraid of our superpowers. Uh, and we meet on the road, and we become friends in a very scary world. But we find a lot of love and friendship amidst all of that. And in a van. And we spend a lot of time in a van, so this is very familiar for us, I think.

My character's name is Zoo, and she is a gold. She has the power of electricity. Um, one word would to describe Zoo would be uh, protective because like almost in the movie you're going to see her like if these three are in trouble, she just like just grabs something electric and just starts circuits. She's trying to protect them and save them from some like evil adults.

I play Ruby. One word I would use to describe Ruby is probably powerful.

I play Chubs and one word that would describe my character, sassy.

That's true. I'm not going to argue with that. Very true.

I play Liam Stewart, who is a blue, which is classed as telekinetic. And I would probably describe him as tenacious because he goes through a hell of a lot and perseveres.

When a fan comes up to you while you're eating dinner.

I don't mind that.

For me it's like a 50/50. It depends on the on the context.
