Hey guys, it's Tracy with Young Hollywood.
I am back on the set of Shark Tank.
This is my fifth time.
I'm so excited.
It is season 11.
Stay tuned.
We are back.
In the set of Shark Tank.
Do you know that it is my five-year anniversary?
That's the only time.
You've only been here five times.
There's actually a legitimate car.
That's why we couldn't stand over there.
Things are getting real.
Things are getting real in today.
After every shoot, we do play Sharks and Minnows and Never have I ever played a prank on a fellow shark.
Oh, I definitely have.
Definitely have.
I already knew the answer.
I'm an OG.
I started before Mark, actually.
She did.
And she looks about the same age as Kevin, but that's all.
Wow, savage.
Crushed me.
It's brutal in the tank.
You were my first interview.
We sat.
It was like season seven.
He tried to scam me.
I'm going to beat the hell out of you.
And now it's season 11.
That's crazy.
Nothing has changed.
Everything has changed.
Everything has changed.
I feel like what's also so cool for me to come back every time.
This is why I love coming.
Besides obviously getting to hang out with the coolest shark.
Of course.
Just saying.
You got to know.
You got to know.
Don't tell anyone else I said that.
Um, but it's really like, it's more than just a show now.
I feel like it's become just like this iconic platform that, you know, it's it's American culture.
Like it's ingrained.
I mean, you're creating jobs.
Businesses are growing.
Yeah, well, it's incredible.
I mean, we've been here so long.
People are coming in that are pitching us that are in their mid-20s.
Saying, yeah, I remember when I was in middle school and I I was watching with my parents and got excited to start a company and and here they are pitching us and and getting deals.
And so, it's really fun and exciting how it's become part of America and part of entrepreneurship in America.
You know, when you hear someone has an idea, they're like, oh, you got to go on Shark Tank.
Yeah.
Like it's just like a normal thing to say now.
Yeah, we had a guy come on this morning, or maybe yesterday morning.
They all kind of run together.
And it was like, you know what, I wasn't going to come on Shark Tank, but everybody told me, I had to come on Shark Tank.
And he was selling these crochet clothes.
Just crochet clothing that was like, out of control.
I mean, it was it was really cool.
And it was just like, yeah, I mean, everybody who has a startup, everybody who's got a growing business, that's the first thing you think of, should I come on Shark Tank?
And I feel like, you know, when you think about it, you've seen thousands of pitches.
I mean, over the years.
What is the one mistake that entrepreneurs are still making that you get really, really frustrated with?
Because I know you got you get pretty angry easily.
I don't get angry.
You do.
I don't get angry.
Um, no, I probably the biggest mistake, we just had the last pitch, they made the same mistake.
They'll walk in and go, this is a nine billion dollar market.
Knew you were going to say that.
Yeah, and if we only get 1%.
Everybody says that.
And look, you just you can't just guess you're going to get 1% because it's hard.
It's hard to do.
And so you've got to give us a reason why you're going to be a real business, you're going to make real sales, and you're going to make real money because that's why that's what we're looking for as investors.
And also, you know, in my opinion, I feel like when you see a pitch, it's kind of like a first date, right?
Like, you're you're looking at the person coming in, you're like, are they authentic?
Are they themselves?
Are they not trying to be someone that they're not?
Is that how you kind of look at it still?
Kind of.
But they do put on that first date face, right?
Where you walk in and everything's perfect, and everybody says all the right things, and and you you kind of have that energy going on.
So, yeah, it it's it's like that, but you're a little bit more prepared, right?
On a date, you don't quite know what's going to happen on the other side.
They've been watching so many years of Shark Tank.
Everybody kind of knows.
And so, we've got to switch up our game to really be different and really be innovative.
And that keeps us on our toes.
Last time I talked to you, I just have to say we were at the NBA Awards.
Everybody's saying the Mavs are like the wild card.
People are wanting to know what's going to happen.
We've got a good young squad with Luka coming back, Dwight's resigning, and they're getting an extension.
KP's going to be playing his first game.
And we'll see what happens free agency.
We got a great rookie.
So, I I'm excited about what happens next.
What are you looking forward to for the Mavs this season?
Well, you're all excited about Luka, hopefully winning.
I love Luka.
Yeah, and Luka won rookie of the year.
So, we're excited about Luka coming back for his second year.
Kristaps Porzingis is coming back.
We add a Seth Curry.
We've got the Lonzo Ball.
So, we've got a bunch of guys in our core group's coming back.
So, I'm excited about this year.
We're going to be a lot better and the West is going to be super exciting.
The NBA is going to be exciting.
So what I'm talking about.
That's what's up.
Season 11 of Shark Tank.
Get ready.
