What's up guys? Leslie Robbins here. Young Hollywood is taking you behind the curtain with the children's entertainment sensation, The Wiggles. Can you sing "Hot Potato, Hot Potato?"
Leslie Wiggle, we wanna teach you the Hot Potato.
Wait. Not only did you just say "Hot Potato," but you just called me Leslie Wiggle.
Yeah, you're now an honorary Wiggle. But you gotta learn how to wiggle. Which we will teach you. So, Hot Potato. So, there's three steps. We're gonna teach you the Hot Potato first. Can you get your fists like this and can you bop them on top of each other like this? You've got it. And can you have a little little hip shake? That's it. That's good. That's Hot Potato. Good job. That's the Hot Potato. Now, we're gonna do the cold spaghetti. Can you move your arms up and down like wiggly spaghetti?
Walk me through what we have here.
Okay. All right. So, here we actually have DJ Dorothy's DJ decks. We have a rave in the middle of the show. It's incredible. You don't wanna miss it. Our sunglasses are here. The roses. The DJ decks. Microphones. It's ready to rock. Over here, we have the keyboard. Lachy's purple verb. Lachy's purple sunglasses. Incredible stuff happening here. Come over here. The drum set. Lucia rocks this drum set, you guys. It is incredible. Show us a little something, Lucy. Second guest: Yeah. Five, six, seven, eight. Hot potato, Hot potato. Hot potato, Hot potato. Hot potato, Hot potato. Potato, potato, potato, potato. We need cold spaghetti. Cold spaghetti, cold spaghetti. Cold spaghetti, cold spaghetti. Cold spaghetti, cold spaghetti.
Here you guys are on your L. A. stop of this global tour. You guys are seriously known throughout the world. You can't say The Wiggles and not know who you are.
It's absolutely surreal and incredible. It really is just so magical when you see a child in the audience dancing to your music and smiling or dressed up as you. We are over 30 years now of this phenomenon.
Talk about how it's stayed around so long when there's so much new stuff coming up.
I think evolving the cast has really helped for a child to see somebody who looks like them or is similar to them. I think the mission of The Wiggles is to spread joy to children across the world through music, um, learning, and also, as Lucy said, seeing themselves represented in such a mainstream kind of platform. I am proudly First Nations Australian, and so to represent my culture, I have the colors of my flag on my skirt and in my bow if a little um Aboriginal girl or boy can see me and believe a little bit more in themselves, then I think that's a job well done for us. Currently on our U. S. tour. We're going to middle America, Texas, Indiana, New York, and some in Canada. They just put out their country album, collaborating with Dolly Parton and Lainey Wilson.
How do you maintain the enthusiasm and the joy and this beautiful smile all the time?
I think because we're all best friends, we have a lot of laughs behind the scenes. We're always giggling, we're always coming up with new dances and a lot of new fun. And I think it's just a bit of a party on the road. I didn't know I was gonna be a Wiggle. It was very last minute. They needed somebody in blue. It so happened that Dad was in blue and it was perfect for me to jump into blue. Father-daughter duo, iconic in the blue. It's so much fun. We could do propeller. That's one of the most iconic ones.
Oh, I'm ready. You are iconic.
So, here we need a little bit of space for this one. Can you put your arms out like this? And can you swing them 'round inwards? Inwards. Ready? Here we go. Do the propeller. Do the propeller. Do the propeller 'round and around. Do the propeller. Do the propeller. Do the propeller. Let's go up. Ready? We're going up and up and up and up. We're going down and down and down and up. We're going up. And then we stop. Freeze. Now, let's do propeller. Do the propeller. Do the propeller. Do the propeller 'round and around. Do the propeller. Do the propeller. Do the propeller. Now, ready? Okay. Freeze. Start your engine. Again, start your engine. Again, start your engine. Away.
