Young Hollywood Awards Cocktail Party

Once all the celebrities finish their interviews on the red carpet, they come inside here where they have the cocktail party and we're the only camera allowed inside. Let's go see what we can find out.

All right, so here we are, Frankie Muniz. We're walking in the award show. Now, you're the coolest young veteran. How does that work?

I'm not quite sure. I'm only 19, so being called a veteran is kind of weird.

I you're old, man, you're 19.

Well, I'm hoping it's not like they're saying that's the beginning of the end of my career, you know, cuz I'm like a veteran, I'm like retiring. Like I'm hoping it will continue forever, but I guess in the sense of like Young Hollywood. Yeah, I've been on a show for going on seven years now and so it's exciting.

how's it all feel so far? Different than a typical award show cuz it is Young Hollywood.

Oh yeah, you know, there's amazing people here. I saw Carmen Electra outside and Gwen Stefani and

Now you just did the red carpet. Now, we know red carpets are all the same thing. What was the stupidest question you got asked out there?

A lot of people kept asking me about the whole Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes thing. I have nothing to say about it.

I don't know, right? Is this crazy or what? Look at all the madness surrounding us here.

I know. I know. I just got a plant from Miami and it's like my eyes are popping out.

What were you doing down in Miami?

Uh, there's a thing called Spring Fest and we were like just doing like kind of stupid motion for the new movie Hustle & Flow.

Nice, and that's the hot movie of the night here. Everyone's talking about Hustle & Flow and you're the man behind it. So just take us through the experience. You finish the red carpet, now you come in here, what do you do next?

Um, I come around. I look at a lot of different sexy girls and I make my way to my seat.

Okay, do you know where you're sitting, who you're sitting with?

I don't know. I don't know. Who am I sitting with?

Let's walk through. Are you going to your seat right now? Have you been to an award show before that something really crazy or unsuspected might have happened?

Well, not really anything that crazy, but I was like at the Kids' Choice Awards like two weeks ago and like I was doing this interview and I like turned around and Will Smith was behind me and I was like, "Oh my gosh."

You were a little starstruck over Will Smith? What? Yo, who do we got here? Who do we got here, Jon?

What are you most looking forward to?

Uh, I'm actually looking forward to just seeing the whole cast together. I haven't seen them together in a long time. We became like this family on the set. So I gotta see the family back together again.

How did you get fortunate enough to hook up with Mr. Singleton?

You read my script. That's all it takes.

I got a script. No, not everybody has script like he has. All right, now this is like a threesome. This is some weird action going on. What's up here?

The first time. Second guest: Yeah, the first time.

So what's the whole Young Hollywood experience been like? Second guest: Um, I I I have to say I love it. I love that they labeled it that. Cuz now I feel young and spry again.

Good. This is Sky Peters. My little sister-in-law.

Nice, Ben. So you used to do award shows, but they're usually like Grammys and those kind of stuff. What's it like being at the Young Hollywood Awards?

It's cool. It's really cool. Like, you know, it's it's uh it's nice to get out here and meet everyone and meet the young Hollywood people and, you know, be in Hollywood. I'm from Maryland, so, you know, Hollywood's a change of pace for us kids from Maryland.

I mean, it's about as Hollywood as it gets. We're here on Hollywood Boulevard. You got all the stars and and everything. You know?

Yeah. I mean, it's crazy. This is what stuff that kids dream about.

Okay, I'm here with America Ferrera. How did you get this name, America?

America is actually my mom's name as well. So I was named after my mom. Like a little America Jr.

Yeah.

And my parents are from um Honduras. So, yeah, in Latin America, America's not such an uncommon name, so. It is my real name.

I know. We got a photo booth here. And we're gonna capture the moment, so we're gonna be with you. I don't think you want me in the picture though, so I'm gonna step out. Do you guys know how to work this?
