Do you know what my favorite part of award shows is, Craig? You know, I'm not some goddamn mind reader, Carmen. My favorite part is when people trip, you know, it just kind of livens things up a little.
Well, if anyone's going to give you your wish tonight, it should be our next honoree, Amanda Bynes, the teen queen of physical comedy. That's an actual rank. Amanda's been described as having a knack for slapstick reminiscent of Lucille Ball. While working on what a girl wants, I learned several things about Amanda Bynes, the actress. She's a consummate pro, poised beyond her years. She'll do anything for a laugh. For her, comedy's serious business, and I think that's probably why she's so good at it. She was only 17 when we worked together and we were far away from home in London, and I remember being struck at just how bright and articulate this girl was and how funny she is. She always has a smile for everyone. Young talents like Amanda give me hope for the future. So it's my pleasure to present the hottest, coolest, young veteran award to the delightful, yet down to earth, girl, my friend, Amanda Bynes.
This is a huge honor. I'm thrilled to be amongst such great actors. And um, I'm really honored and I hope that I can continue to be blessed and work hard and and um, get another job. Just kidding, I hope. Uh, I really appreciate it and um, good luck to everyone. Thank you.
