The expression more than a pretty face might be used to describe our first honoree, Argentine-born actress Mia Maestro, but it doesn't really go far enough.

To present the standout performance award to Mia Maestro is the man Reese Witherspoon went halfway across the country for in Sweet Home Alabama.

She was nominated for an Argentinian Oscar for her very first performance.

She's a world-class dancer, a classically trained singer, and she's going to sit there and beam at me.

A woman who I did then spend a week, unfortunately stuck in an air conditioning duct with me on Poseidon, which drove both of us a little bit mad.

I'm very happy to present this award, the stand-out performance award for her work in Poseidon to my friend, one of the most elegant, talented, very smart, and above all, grounded people I know in this crazy business, my friend, Mia Maestro.
