Halle Berry and Greg Kinnear present to Pierce Brosnan

I am delighted to introduce two of my personal favorite actors. She is an Oscar winner who starred with Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day, and she's also last year's Young Hollywood role model. And he is an Oscar nominee who stars with Pierce Brosnan in the upcoming comedy The Matador, and he's the guy I left Ross Geller for. Please give a big hand to Halle Berry and Greg Kinnear.

Halle and I actually worked together recently on, uh, Robots, which you didn't mention at all, are you sure? You didn't mention. We worked together in Robots.

still going. Still going, at the theater. And I have to say, Greg, you are a fine ass robot. Seriously?

Yeah. Not they overanimated my ass in the movie actually. No. Pretty, pretty, pretty much like it is.

Wow, thank you. Take it away. You know, I am really honored to be here to, you know, present this award to Pierce. I did have a chance to work with him in Die Another Day. And I have to tell you, he is by far in my very humble opinion, the best Bond ever. Ever. Ever. And if he doesn't come back, then it's, you know, the industry's loss because he is wonderful. But what I really loved most about working with Pierce is that not only is he a fine actor and an artist, but he was a wonderful human being to me. He took time, he was caring, he was generous, he was loving, and I've never really had that experience since um, working with another leading man. So he is not only worthy of being your role model because of what he's sort of conquered in his career, but he is a fine husband, father, and gentleman as well. And a good kisser.

Um, Pierce, uh, and I worked on Matador actually last year, and he is incredibly professional. He handles himself with great dignity, and, uh, sadly will always be much cooler than any of us could ever ever hope to be. He puts as much emphasis on his life and his various humanitarian and environmental causes as he does his work, and it's something to aspire to. So we're really quite honored and pleased to present this award to him. Pierce Brosnan.

Thank you. Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen. Um, And I haven't said anything funny yet, so I don't know why you're laughing, man. Maybe my fly's undone or something. But anyway, I just wanna thank Halle and, uh, Greg for being here tonight and being here for me. Um, role models. Well, you know, I, I there've been many role models in my life, um, names, faces that you wouldn't even recognize. And yet here tonight I stand on a stage with two role models that I really admire and respect. Halle and Greg, fellow actors, um, two people who have shown up and done incredible work and have lived really good lives, and um, truthful, and honest. Um, I've had

Is that true?

I don't know. Yeah. Go on. But anyway, um, I've had good luck. I've had really good luck in this business. I came out to this town about 23 years ago, and, um, I've managed to stay employed, and for me it's, um, about, uh, longevity and staying in a game that you really, um, are passionate about. And like I say, I've had very good luck. And, um, dreams, you're gonna have your dreams, uh, and I've had dreams, and most of those dreams have been fulfilled, and, uh, yet I still have a hungry ambition to keep going and, uh, keep discovering. The last decade has been a very, uh, enriching one and very powerful one. Uh, I've ended up making my own movies, uh, with my own company, Irish Dreamtime, and, uh, as one of my acting teachers used to say, nothing comes from nothing, and that means hard work. So, um, I've still got a lot of work to do. Uh, I would like to thank the people who have been close to me and helped me, um, people from CIA, um, Fred Spector, Kevin Kevin Yuvaine, and, uh, Mike Nilan, Rick Kurtzman, and people like that, people who've got good vision and good heart. Um, I'd like to thank my wife as well, Keely. Uh, she has been the greatest influence in my life. I've watched her influence touch other people's lives. So, um, thank you very much, Hollywood Life, and, uh, good luck to everybody out there who wants to make movies and, uh, make a good life of it. Thank you.
