Here to make the presentation to the director of Rise, give it up for Dave La Chapelle.

Oh, it's pretty exciting to be here um, with my cast from Rise. Uh, it's very appropriate that they're getting a breakthrough award because they've broken through so many things in their lives. They allowed me to breakthrough something in my life. I learned so much from them, I'm so honored. So, so, all you guys, come on up and get your awards. This award is not for me, it's for my mom. Just to let everybody know that. And before, before y'all clap, yeah, we up here and we getting breakthrough awards, but we're constantly struggling. You know, we go back to our South Central neighborhoods, our homes and the struggle is real. I want everybody to send a special prayer out tonight because my nephew, one of the cast members from Rise got shot two weeks ago. His name is Baby T. D. I. Z. And you know, everybody's like, what happened? I'm like, he got shot. They're like, how? And it's real where we live, violence is real. It's hard to make it, but through David, through our parents, through God, we make it. So thank you.
