Hello. Hi. Hi. Oh, I'm so excited to talk to you guys today. Oh, we just popped in on you. We didn't even give you no warning or nothing. Nothing. I saw you as I was looking. I was scouting for you guys. How's it going? You'd so nice there. You guys look great. Look at my hair looking crazy right now. I was researching you guys and everything. I was so excited because like you just stand. You guys are so in love with each other. And I'm just so excited to talk to you guys because just you can tell. It's just like the cutest, cutest thing. But I also heard about how you guys met and everything. How weren't your your friends, you were kind of like, oh, like give her my number?

Yeah, so actually we actually saw each other, um, at, at an uh, at an event. And um, we actually didn't speak and she was sitting like a couple rows behind. Was it a couple rows or one row?

Uh, like a couple rows, like one or two rows behind me.

And uh, she wasn't with me. She was she was with another guy there. And I later found out it wasn't like an actual like date or anything like that. No, I'm just kidding. It was. It was. Nah, she was just uh, she was just helping out one of her friends. That was it. But um, we saw each other and we didn't speak. And so a year later, one of my uh, a mutual friend of ours brought her name up in a conversation. I was like, oh yeah, whatever happened to her, like, can you hook me up? And uh, of course, he acted like, you know, he had he was the plug. And uh he was like, you know, he had the the connection. So, um, I told him to pass my number to her. And we text. And uh she actually didn't text me right away, huh?

Why did you decide to wait? Was there some

I made her wait for a while. And then this that the mutual, um, friend, he asked me again, like if have I have I texted him, he's waiting. So that was kind of.

No, man. That's how we ain't no. We got a couple kids, couple kids, we got it. It was it was a confirmation that there was truly an interest and it wasn't just kind of, you know, like a light.

Yeah.

Yeah, so we um, we started we started talking. We started dating. And then um, you know, one thing led to another. And um, you know what, one of the things I always appreciated about her was she was always independent, you know, even for me, she never needed me. Um and I think that was one of the things that attracted me to her the most is just how independent she was. Um, you know, she would fly herself to come see me. You know, she wouldn't even let me, you know, pay for her flights. You know what I mean? Or she would try to pay for dinners or or anytime we went out and you know, it's it's obviously as a as a man, I think it's our job to obviously um, pay for those things. And um, you know, do those things. But just the fact that she even offered to me told me who she was as a person.

For sure. And when she wasn't texting you during that time, what were you thinking? Were you thinking about it constantly or you kind of just blocked it out?

I thought I didn't have a shot in the beginning. I I because uh, I just wasn't sure if she was going to text me. And um, and I actually had asked that's funny because I actually asked somebody else who I knew knew her. Um, to uh, connect us and he didn't do it. He was a he was a hater.

Oh my god. What what what did you feel when you finally got the text?

Um, I was excited. You know what I mean? I was excited to get to know her and um, I was excited at the opportunities, you know, for us to to date. And um, I was happy. Yeah, definitely.

I love it. I love it so much. And we're going to play a little game if you're down.

It's uh, who's more likely to? So you guys are going to I'll read off some things and who's who does what? Okay, all right. Okay. So, who is the one who wakes up the earliest?

That would be your boy. Always up. Early bird gets the worm. Never. I'm always up early. Like a soldier. I'm up 6:00 AM, 5:30 in the morning. She knows that. But that was that's new, you know, that wasn't always new. That ain't new. I've been doing that since I played football my whole life. So football practice starts early.

On the opposite side that this is new. It's a new it's on a new journey with um, with uh his he's on a new spiritual journey that kind of wakes him up early every day and he's in his room meditating, you know, praying, preparing how he's going to lead lead our family that day. Um, so it's I'm just I'm so blessed and thankful that that I have that with him.

Yeah, for sure. Definitely. But I still been waking up early. I still been the earliest.

He comes in the room and bugs me when he he can't wait anymore.

Who's the more romantic one?

Uh, I would say that's her. You know, she's she uh, her love language is is touching. And so for me, that was something I had to adjust to because I think you know, playing my sport in football. Um one of the things that, you know, you kind of turn off is that sensitivity, right? And and some of that compassion. All those different things that can be looked at as a sign of weakness, you know, in my profession. Um and so she kind of taught me those things, you know, all over again. And helped me to kind of get back to that. And I've always appreciated her for that. And she's always been a sucker for romantic movies, too.

Yes, he did have to adjust. going out. He would not hold my hand. He wouldn't hold her hand. My gosh, and there was that was like the biggest no-no for me. And he wouldn't hold my hands. He's never He didn't grow up seeing that. He never done it himself. So that small even that small shift was so huge for him. But it was, you know, it was like the biggest thing for me when we started holding hands.

I love it. That's like the little thing but the biggest thing. It's great.

It's little, but it's you never you don't

Yeah, it's little, but it can be a big thing.

Who spends the most money?

Oh, that's for sure me. That's for me. I spend the most money. Um, on shoes, mostly. I have a I definitely have a shoe issue.

But to his defense is he spends it on everyone, not on himself. I love to gift people shoes. Um I think shoes is just a great gift. Like it's a great gesture.

Do you keep the boxes? Do you keep the boxes of the shoes or you get rid of the boxes?

No, I get rid of the boxes.

He gets too many to carry them in the house. So he has to get rid of the boxes. boxes. Shoes in a bag. And he was just asking. Oh my god.

Who drive who's the one who drives faster?

Oh yeah. That's me. Need for speed. Uh speed demon. Um, you know, I drive like I play. Um you know, I play how about it. I drive fast. What can I say? Um I slow down now that he's retired. Yeah, I don't get I don't get that same excitement on the football field no more. So, you know, I need my car.

You need it in the car.

Love it. Who is the more athletic one? It's kind of for fun. I cannot pick that. All right. I'm going I'm going

We are both. But we're athletic in our different respects, right? Because she's an athlete in in ballroom dancing and stuff I've seen them do. I couldn't even if I tried, I wouldn't be able to do it. Um,

And when Reggie would come to your shows, would you always kind of look out for him out there? Or you were just completely focused on the show?

Oh yeah, I I wouldn't look out cuz I know exactly where he was sitting. So that's exactly where I wouldn't look the whole time. Oh my god. I would before the show started, I mean, the whole our whole cast would help me spot him out. exactly where he was.

Were they always like, oh my god, like he's here.

Man, that's crazy. That once he catches eyes, then, you know, I'm I'm out of my rhythm and I'm probably going to fall when I'm flipping. So I don't want to get Oh my god. In the audience. That's crazy. I never knew that.

Oh, I definitely call her more for sure. She don't even know my phone number. What's my phone number? Exactly. She don't know my phone number. That's cool. It's a new number. No, what? She didn't know the last one number. She definitely don't know the new one. Yeah, no.

How often do you get new phone numbers?

new phone number, so that's because you know, okay, when we were dating, I made a promise to myself that I'm not going to learn his number. So if he pisses me off and I don't know his number, I just stop contacting him. I don't know if this is a thing or any other girls have ever done that, but I did that. So, I think. Oh my god. I got it. Oh my god.

The last song you remember listening to, uh, the it's the song by uh, Travis Scott and Gunna. What's the song called? It's fire, too. It just came out. Um, yeah. Only reason reason I remember that is because uh, I got a new phone and none of my music downloaded. And so I only have one song that I'm listening to right now on my phone. And I'm playing it over and over every time. But that song go hard, though. Gunna is the best. I love him. He's the goat. He is the goat.
