NFL Players Premiere League Meet the Rookies

Welcome to Young Hollywood.

Hi, I'm Adam Ray for Young Hollywood and we just wrapped up the NFL Player's Premier League flag football game which featured a handful of celebrities, NFL legends, and newly drafted NFL rookies, all hanging out having a good time.

It was a pretty fun day.

Let's take a look back and see what happened.

I'm gonna assume you're a big gamer, 'cause you're a sports guy.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Uh, the new Madden's coming out right in August.

Um, do you are you gonna do you play yourself when you play the game or is that weird?

No, I usually do.

I usually don't play with anybody else, you know, like I know in college football, it was always TCU and I don't think I played with any other teams.

So, you know, I'll definitely be playing with the Bengals.

Is there something about the new Madden game that you're hoping that kind of that they include?

Uh, obviously they always try to improve the graphics, but is there like an element of the game that you think they need to change, maybe like, you know, maybe the tint of your red hair?

Maybe that needs to be like, you know, really, so it's really popping?

Yeah, I definitely want to have red hair in there, you know, in the college football game they they never gave it to me, so hopefully in Madden, you know, uh, they'll get it right.

How are you just adapting to the whole NFL experience right now and just kind of adjusting from college?

Uh, you know, it it's the things that, um, you get the opportunity to do.

They're fun, uh, they're enjoyable.

You get to come out to LA for a weekend and and meet some new people and and, uh, have fun with a bunch of guys in the same position that you are.

I'm here with 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick.

Holy crap, man, you're an NFL, uh, athlete now.

How's that feel?

It feels amazing.

I'm very excited about it.

You can't stop smiling, man.

Look at you.

I can't.

I mean, it's something you really just get excited about.

It's another opportunity to go out there and play football.

You're a big gamer, obviously, right?

Yeah.

Yeah.

The new Madden's coming out in August.

Um, stoked about it?

I don't know, man.

I gotta see what my speed lookin' like on there, man.

Or I'ma protest.

So you'll obviously play yourself in the game, right?

Yeah.

Yeah.

You gotta play with you gotta play with your team, man.

You gotta represent.

I played with, you know, North Carolina.

And I got I won, so.

Browns.

What are you, uh, looking forward to most, not only being in the NFL, but like bringing to the Falcons?

Um, just goin' in and, um, being like I'm the missing piece to the puzzle.

Um, just tryin' to go in there, you know, play for, uh, championships.

This is what I like doin', man.

I I love winning.

I came from a program and organization that loves to win, you know, and we practice winning and I've always been a winner, so that's what I'm tryin' to bring to the team as well.

Uh, I'm gonna read you a quote here from ESPN.

I wanna tell you if they're talking about you or if they're talking about me, all right?

Uh, 'cause I know some people at ESPN, so sometimes they quote they they they talk about me.

Right.

Uh, they said, um, "He's a more explosive, faster Michael Irvin."

Is that you or is that me?

That's you.

Is there anybody in particular that you were like excited to like, uh, get to see or meet?

Oh, it's always fun seeing Terrell Davis.

He was a great running back and, uh, I remember him just running all over the Rams when I was a kid, so that's fun to see him out there.

I'm here with AJ Green, uh, drafted number four overall to the Cincinnati Bengals.

AJ, uh, you're a pro athlete now, man.

How's that feel?

Feels good, man.

You know, it's a childhood dream and I'm I'm living it now.

I'm living it.

You are living the dream, man.

I wish I was you.

You were, uh, this is kinda like a crazy little stat, but you were on the juggling team in elementary school?

And that's unbelievable because we had juggling when I was in PE, but it was like scarves and like, uh, pins, but obviously that's good for your hand-eye coordination.

Did that really help?

I think so.

Uh, you know, I started when I was in like first grade and, you know, I got to fifth grade I'm like, oh man, I'm going to middle school, it's not cool no more.

So, I gotta give it up.

Dude, but if you start juggling now, do you realize how many kids would look up to a pro athlete juggling, endorsing juggling?

Dude, AJ Green's juggling touring company and I'm your first employee.

I know.

I gotta get some t-shirts or something, get a little DVD goin' or something.

I know it's a select few group of guys that get to come out here every year, so it's definitely humbling to be out here with you.

You're a big Madden guy, yeah?

Are there any plays that you created in your playbook that you could maybe bring to the Lions, as there that were like like maybe a Titus special?

Like some sort of crazy play that you're like, yo, coach, I know it's just a video game, but this play was ridiculous.

It doesn't work like that, does it?

Oh yeah, yeah, it does.

Actually a tricker reverse pass.

Uh, pitch the ball, maybe to Joavus Best.

And Joavus Best pitches it to Calvin Johnson.

Then Calvin Johnson pitches me the ball.

And then Matthew Stafford goes out deep in the back of the end zone, I find him.
