all in the hip. You gotta move those, you gotta move those hips. That's what it's all about. Yeah. You know, especially when you're doing a cha cha, stuff like that.
Welcome to Young Hollywood. Hey everyone, Nikki Novak here for Young Hollywood. We're here at the 11th annual Harold Pump Foundation Gala where some of the biggest legends in sports are here to celebrate. Let's go chat with them. The incredible Jerry Rice, how are you?
I'm doing fantastic. Look at this. Everybody get a chance to dress up and look nice for the Pump Foundation. This is unbelievable.
Now, when somebody does a lot of on-camera broadcasting, it shows.
Uh, you know what? I uh, I'm one of those guys. I like to uh, I call myself, I like to make love to the camera. That's it. Let's see. You know, watch this. That's how you make love to it. You look at it, you stare it down. And plus you're beautiful. You're beautiful.
Thank you. It's pretty nice. Well, I have to tell you. Growing up, you were my favorite player of all time.
Well, you know she said growing up I was your favorite player. Well, It is Young Hollywood. So we're not going to talk about age here, okay? No. Young Hollywood is an attitude, not a name. Okay. But you know what? I had a great career and after football, I had a chance to do a, you know, a lot of other reality shows. I went on Dancing with the Stars. It was all in the hips.
All right, show me.
It was all in the hips. You gotta move those, you gotta move those hips. That's what it's all about. Yeah. You know, especially when you're doing a cha cha, stuff like that. You gotta be able to work those hips.
Okay, so teach me a quick dance step. What's the cha cha move? What is what do I do with my feet?
You just move it to the side, just like that, just like that, just like that, you know. But you are dancing in front of millions of people. And you have to be able to really perform.
You danced on the field in front of million.
Yeah, yeah, I used to dance on the field and I I I used to but I looked real stupid dancing on the field. On a dance show, Dancing with the Stars. I was terrified to death. Really? I didn't realize how much time that you had to put in. And I got beat by little short Drew Lachey. I'm still pissed off about that. It's a boy, but I can I can work those hips, though. My girlfriend, she loves me. She loves me for working those hips. And you would've been perfect to dance with. Okay, you would've been just like.
The the football lockout, how did you feel about it? It's over, it's you know, season's moving on.
Man, so glad. I'm so glad that we'll get a chance to get back to, you know, having fun. Listen, the only our economy's suffering enough. We don't we we do not need to send people to work on Monday without any real reason and miserable. Let me tell you what gives them reason. Like all you want to do, the only reason you want to go to work on Monday is to get on your dude because your team beat him on Sunday. So now, I got to go to work. But I got Johnny. We got to see Johnny at lunch, you know. And so now we got that. So Mondays, Mondays workforce will be back in tact. We'll get the economy back going. That's how it all plays a role. That's why I'm so happy.
Yeah, I would never have a hard time splitting up $10 billion. So you sound like you're splitting up $10 billion. If you and I, where would you want to split it? I don't even know where to start.
Yeah, where would you go? How much? How much would you get? How much would I get? I want to see what kind of business partner would you be. What kind of deal would we cut?
I'd be happy with I'd be happy with 48%.
48%? 48%? I'm giving you 52.
Yeah, I guess so.
We have a deal? Are we have a deal? Okay. Yeah, we're good. All right. My muscle and your beauty. We can get something done, okay? So, who are you excited to see here tonight? Is there anybody that really excites you as a as one of the greatest players of all time?
Well, you know, the greatest athlete, the greatest basketball player in the world for me is Magic Johnson. Period, bar none, hands down for me is Magic Johnson. But then here, there's so many great athletes in here that you love to be around and get a chance to see. And we all get to come together because we can't do it anymore. So we have to come together, hang around, have a few drinks, lie to each other, like we really played even better than we did.
And then you mean very often?
Yeah, yeah, that's what we do. Trust me. Trust me, that's what we do. And we get a chance to do it together. And all for a good cause. Hey, what's up? I am Michael The Playmaker Irvin, three-time Super Bowl champion with the Dallas Cowboys and I am a Hall of Famer. Young Hollywood.
