Carmelo Anthony on Allen Iverson

Welcome to younghollywood. com. Hey Young Hollywood, it's Michelle Marie. I am here with All-Star forward, Carmelo Anthony with the Denver Nuggets. We're here for the launch of your new shoe, the Jordan Melo M5. Tell us about the design of the shoe.

My inspiration was, it's five positions on the basketball court. Um, and I can play all five positions. So I just wanted to put all them positions into one shoe, just to how it feel, how it look. You can wear it with whatever you want to wear it with, but at the same time feel comfortable about playing with it on the court.

How did you put your creativity into this design for M5?

Me, I designed it from the sole up. You know, I'm there every step of the way with the design, how it feel, how we test it. Um, so it all, it all comes from my heart when I design the shoe, man.

You're one of the top scorers in the NBA, two-time Olympian and this year you ride home the gold with team USA. How is that experience in Beijing carried over into this season?

It just, you know, just being able to be on a team full of great players. It carried over to my team. Um, learning how to play with, you know, a lot of people. We just had a trade, so trying to gel everybody together. And we're doing good right now. We're winning, so we're trying to keep the streak alive.

You know, a lot of changes this year with the Nuggets. Now that your running mate Allen Iverson is gone, how is it different?

It's it's a lot different, man. The game is slower. Um, playing with AI, you know, we speed the game up. He he averaged 30, I averaged 30. Um, we was one of the most exciting teams to watch in NBA. But times has changed now and you know, I guess he had to move on and and our organization had to move on.

Now you guys are doing great so far this season with Chauncey Billups. How is he fitting in with the Nuggets team?

Oh, he's good. He's he's leading us right now. Came in right away, running the team. Um, we're looking forward to having some more good games, though.

What happened to the cornroll?

Obama, man. Obama wig, man.

What's next for you? What's your ultimate goal?

We're trying to win some games, trying to win a, you know, a championship in the NBA. Um, and you know, just just want to be happy, man. That's all I want to do is be happy.
