I know. It's been since Peter Pan. Yeah. Which feels like 17 years ago, but it wasn't. It was like two.

And you were nominated for Best New Artist at the Grammys. That was that was last year, but that wasn't still amazing.

Oh, yeah, that happened since I've seen you. Yeah. Um, weird. Uh, that was insane actually. I can't believe that happened. I watched it from my couch this year though and that was also happy.

You put one to my doors. Stood there on the front porch and that was the beginning. We had those talks burning down to the green grass side of town while I'm free, never slowed down. I thought I needed you like air.

Do you have any like secrets to thrive, like constantly? Like, you are literally on top of it, always. Like, you're just doing such a good job.

I honestly think the biggest thing I've learned is that I need breaks. I didn't let myself have that for a while and I think that I was going so fast that I wasn't able to process stuff and like really actually be able to soak stuff in. Yeah. And so, I think I've really learned that I love to be really, really busy and then have like a little chunk of time, even if it's like three days to like go somewhere or be home and just like process everything that's happening.

I hate love songs.

Do you actually hate Gosling though?

I don't hate Gosling. It was just the perfect line. It was the perfect rhyme. But I really, I so badly want to like, I want to get the song to him because I just want him to I want to know what his reaction is. I love it. It's so fun.

Yeah, we were classic. My jersey leather jacket didn't know how good we had it. Yeah. But boy, we had it. Four teeth of February kind of feeling my heart still carries. Hey, we didn't know it. Thought we could grow it. Beautiful for a moment, we were roses.

Oh yeah, yeah. I do want to talk about your album, Unapologetically. My favorite song is Roses. 100%. And you just performed it.

So, thank you for doing that for us. That's awesome. Yeah. I do want to say though, I noticed, you talk about Roses quite a bit. What's playing it?

Oh, I know. Morgan's never got me Roses until Valentine's Day and then he did. Yeah. Uh, that was a major brownie points. I don't know why. I think it's probably one of those cliches of love that I think it's just easy to kind of paint a picture with.

Okay, fair enough. Because all the girls here, we love the song and we're like, there's something symbolic with Kelsea. She's singing about Roses, how they they die like a week later, but she loves them. Like, so we were just so curious. We wanted to.

I did in both those songs. I love it. Yeah.

We're happy. You put one in my hair. We dance in the middle of nowhere. You and me are summer bright and living color in my lips were red. Your eyes were blue. And I thought I saw forever in you. Yeah, we were classic. My just your leather jacket. Didn't know how good we had it. Yeah.

So, talk to me more about that one.

That one's my baby. It's crazy. I wrote that song the week after my first album went to mastering. And I wrote it by myself, which I hadn't really done in a long time, which is kind of how I started. So, it's like a really pure version of music for me. So, I'm really proud of that. And I think it's just it's one of those things that we all feel in our life at some point of going back to your hometown and realizing the things that have changed and the things that haven't and knowing that you're one of the things that have. It's kind of contradicting in you because you feel like a little bit guilty but also really proud of yourself, you know?

That's so powerful. I love that so much.

With what you just said about High School and you being newly married, happily married, what advice would you give them in terms of moving forward in romances?

I think it's important to feel things. I feel like, especially in our world today, everyone makes you feel like you have to be ready for life all the time and like okay and game face. And I just don't think that's the case. I think the way that you really like move forward like properly and happily is to to deal with it and to like, if you're sad, be sad and like wear sweatpants and cry. It doesn't matter, you know? It's like it's fine. I really think feeling it is what gets you to like the place of being ready for like open for love.
