Hey guys, it's Tracy with Young Hollywood, and we are sitting in beautiful Austin, Texas, at South by Southwest. I'm with the one and only Reed Demming.

Hello, hello, hello.

And we're at the Subway Square where there's like so much awesome action going on right now. Oh yeah. We got food ceases. They're going to be serving out for food truck. Everyone's just sort of chilling, hanging out. Such a chill spot, like I love this place. Right?

It's absolutely fantastic. Like, most of these other venues, everyone's like so crammed and this is just chill, free food and people hanging out, talking, and it's great. I love it.

Is this your first time at South by?

Uh, yeah, this is my first South by ever. So, this is really cool. I'm really enjoying the experience.

You auditioned for the X Factor here in Austin, right?

Yeah, it's been about two years. I was probably about 8 inches shorter and and I remember rocking the mop top and and just going up there singing some Bruno Mars and wowing the judges and it was it was really cool. It kind of got me started and look where we are now, you know? It was it was really eye-opening to get to work with some of these people, like we had Will. i. am as a guest judge. And um, he was really interesting. He he uses all these weird analogies. Like he he called me like, I think like the Emperor Kid or something. Was trying to figure out what he what he meant by that. Like there there was just some really interesting people to work with.

So what what does that mean?

I I think it has something to do with I think it's like someone who is like very, I think it's someone who has like a lot of like bravado, someone who's very, you know, just just chill and and like and just like really interested and really enthusiastic about doing what you're doing.

People, who are you close with on that season?

Oh, dude, but we were we loved all you guys. I mean, you were like

Okay.

I'm really really tight with Fifth Harmony. I I saw Diamond White actually about uh about three months ago and I saw a bunch of other X Factor contestants from season three when there as well. So that was really cool. So yeah, I try to keep in touch with them. Oh, of course. I went in their I went in their tour bus actually about about this time last year. They were they were playing a venue up in Austin at the Belmont. And uh great spot.

And Why was I not there?

Uh, I don't know. It's it's a really cool spot. And they had like in their tour bus, they had basically they like a pyramid of Red Bulls. Like it didn't surprise me at all. These guys are these guys are totally like

Not surprised.

Like if you if you're wondering is like why is like Wesley and Drew why they're so hyper, it's it's 'cause of that Red Bull. Like they were they had they downed that stuff. They are jacked up on Red Bull.

And you released your EP called Ridiculous.

Yep. That was

Which is ridiculous. I love that. I love the name. I'm like I love that. That's like something I could name.

I think that was that was that was such a such a great little coincidence there because I felt like that EP was like kind of like a stepping stone in the direction I wanted to go. Now that I'm 15 and now that I'm really starting to figure out what I want to do as an artist, it's just it's really step it's really stepping towards you know where I want to take this. Like more OneRepublic, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, that type of stuff. I don't want to rush the creative process. I mean that sounds so cliché but once the music comes out, I promise it's gonna be good and I I I just can't wait to release it myself. So it's it's gonna be really cool putting out new music for the for the fans. It's incredible getting to meet these people from all around the world and that's that's my favorite part about all of this is having just these incredible fans coming out from the middle of nowhere to come see me, which is great. All of that. It's my mom. I love you.

I am 5'9", I think. I think I think that's about right. Uh how tall are you? Because I'm about a I'm about a head taller than you. So I think I think that's a I'm about 5'9".

Um, how are you liking Austin?

I love Austin. I love how how pretty and how awesome everyone is here. Keep Austin weird.

What's your top three favorite songs?

Hotel California by The Eagles. Um, I would say uh another one that is really like one of my favorites right now is uh Glory and Gore by Lord. And another one of my favorites right now is uh um probably All I Need by OneRepublic. So I listen to a lot of stuff. I kind of like that.

If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive, who would it be?

Oh, that's a good one. Man. Okay. Okay. You give about two hours I'll have an answer for y'all in about two hours. Um, let me think. I would love to meet Kurt Cobain. He's such an interesting person. I I like I would love to you know, just kind of see where he's coming from and I I think he's such a cool guy. So I think he would be on my list.
