Have you written a song about your mom?

I think all my songs derived from that. When I lost my mom, it put me so in touch with like pain. Like my ice cream dropped and that's petty. You know what I mean? When you learn that at six, you just understand people a lot better. That creates an artist. I think we're all born artists, though. Really, really expressive. It helps you. I mean, I feel like you can express yourself really well, but you people go through things like that. I think that we're all artists.
