I'm here with Snow Patrol. We have Gary and Johnny. You guys just released your new album 100 Million Suns. Who came up with the name?

That would be my fault. But a 100 million suns, you know, in the universe. I think it's 100 billion or something like that, but I don't like the word billion, so I changed it for my own means, for my own wicked ends.

And now you guys have a new single out, Take Back the City.

Take back the city for yourself tonight. I'll take back the city for me.

Something I love that I saw you guys did. You had people actually send in videos.

Um yeah, we'll be we because on tour, we're going to use a lot of the footage that people do of their own city and uh the contestants, you know, if we get a good video, um which incorporates, you know, what's recognizable and what's cool about your place, then we'll put it on our big screen.

Everybody loves the song Chasing Cars. If I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world? I saw it on one of my favorite shows, Grey's Anatomy.

I don't know what happened, you know, it just seemed to connect with people from that show, but it was a bizarre, bizarre thing.

You guys are releasing another song. Can you tell me about that one?

Yeah, it's called Crack the Shutters. Crack the Shutters open wide. I want to bathe you in the light of day. Pop, rock number. It was definitely one of the songs that um, when it was just played in the acoustic that, you know, I remember getting it from them thinking, this, yeah, this is going to turn out great. This is just going to be fantastic.

Now you guys have been together for almost 14 years now. Is there anything that you've always wanted to ask Johnny?

I think I've asked Johnny everything I've ever wanted to ask him.

Can you tell us anything extremely embarrassing or crazy that he's ever done?

He got his head taken off by a bridge by accident. Um, we were in a in a tour bus, one of the double decker ones in the UK. Yeah. And I think it was probably our first time on one and it was like, Yeah, it's cool. Bridges. And I'm going, yeah, it's brilliant. Bridge. Yeah, it's brilliant, brilliant.

So, if there's one other thing besides music that you love to do, what is it?

Music, books and movies are like my three great passions and football as well.

Skiing is uh something I really love when I get to do it.

If you had one word that would describe you, what would it be?

Incorrigible.

That's a good one. I like that.

Insufferable.
